They are no more "bisexual" today than they were 100 years ago.
If young women aren't taking their cues from religion, parents, etc., they are taking them from Cosmo and 17 and movies and tv.
And, if those who control the media plant ideas in their heads about what fads are popular, i.e. what's "cool" -- whether it be the latest bracelet to wear, T-shirt to buy or sexual experiment -- they are likely to do the same in the name of being cool.
Monkey see monkey do.
That's how polls are used to get people to go along with what's in fashion, with who to vote for, etc.
"Well everyone else is doing it".
That's how the media got women to think it was sophisticated to smoke cigarettes back in the 50's. That's how the diamond industry convinced women that there is a direct correlation between the size of a diamond and how much a man loves you. And this is how the secularists are now destroying family by convincing women that they don't need men and can find as much "fun" with other women.
A woman isn't any more of a smoker, a diamond lover or bisexual than she was 100 years ago.

Too true!
It's complex man...on one hand I see what you're saying on the other hand...I hate just basically look at women as people who has no mind of their own and someone who basically mimics what they see on tv
Women I've learned take interest in things which are more emotionally driven..ie human/social culture...and not logic...which is why a woman would watch soaps(emotionally driven scenarios)...and men watch stuff like sopranos, more story, action, a point
then again everything is backwards these days, now guys watch sex in the city and women watch the news...
TG,
I hope I didn't give the impression the monkey see monkey do phenomenon is unique to women. My bad if I was not clear. All people have the propensity to be sheep.
Women watch Oprah and men watch sports. Same stupidity. Same distraction. Same Kool-Aid.
Few people think for themselves; truly exercise intellectual freedom. None of us is immune from bombardment by weapons of mass distraction.
Anytime someone starts talking about the latest "trend", "fad" or "popular" thing, my bullshit alarm bells go off. How does that person know what is "popular", who put that person in charge of telling the rest of us "what everyone else is doing", who is "everyone" and why is the particular activity getting hyped by the media?
For example, today on Fox News, a headline reads: "Poll: Many Support School Distribution Of Birth Control"
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,307248,00.html
Sixty-seven percent support giving contraceptives to students, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll.
But you scroll to the bottom and find out that "the poll involved telephone interviews with 1,004 adults". So approximately 670 people are ok with giving "contraceptives" to students (although we don't know what question they were asked) and that gets translated to "Many" believe...
Guess what? Tomorrow, Casper is going to quote this poll to us as evidence that Many People In America believe school birth control is a great idea and those of us who disagree are out of step.
Such is the way propaganda works.
II said, "Women watch Oprah and men watch sports. Same stupidity. Same distraction."
So a man appreciating the art of in the battle of Jordan vs. Nique in the 1998 dunk contest (Nique should have won, but the judges cheated since they were in Chicago) is stupid?
Watch this masterpiece (click here)
I am 24 and I completely free from fads and trends...
I was never really into trends to begin with but the final straw the cut me out completely was a few years ago when dudes started wearing pink everything....
I was like ya know what...I'm just not wearing pink I don't give a fuck what ANYONE says
I often wonder if Cam was paid to start that trend....the same people who make black men wear dresses in movies...
TG, couldnt help but notice your age.
Referring to our conversation on TheStateof (TSO for short), please dont jump on the band wagon of hating us and deprive some beautiful 24 year old the pleasure of your investment (and I dont mean that financially, have to be careful with you, LOL).
Paul,
People who watch Oprah and sports aren't stupid. People who take them seriously...Well...
Gotta wonder about that...
Dina has hit the nail squarely on its head.
Monkey see, monkey do indeed.
Simple herd mentality. Even stock brokers fall victim.
We do. Humans are social animals and we take our cues from everyone else.
It's a challenge to be go against the grain. It really is. The tyranny of the mediocre is always there to boo you for not "going with the flow", "thinking too much" or whatever other nonsense they've been programmed with.
But if you read any prophetic wisdom, whether it be the Bible, the Quran, the Bhagavad Gita or Atlas Shrugged, each one talks about trusting yourself, trusting your instincts, not being afraid to be your own man.
That is freedom.
Beautiful Dina.
Robyn, what did my man TG say to garner that sage like advice you just laid on him?
(You crack me up advising young people with your young ass.)
;-]
LOL DV. I keep trying to tell you, dont let this 28 fool you!
TG, although not beyond redemption, has taken to heart the bullshit idea that Black women are accurately represented by the images commonly depicted on TV. His comments of late suggest he believes that black women want thugs (instead of seeing that want we really want are men who are supportive and protective, the thug is the racist TV version of this), he believes that black women are unsupportive of achievement in black men (which simply aint true) and he seems to also believe that the bulk of us are fat, mean single mothers (which is perhaps the biggest load of bullshit in the bunch). I'm simply trying to help the young man see the error of his ways.
