Actually, he was, and probably still is, but i've grown to appreciate a self-centered black man in a world that wants him to disappear.

There are better rappers but no better artists in Hip Hop than Kanye at present. It's his contradictions that make him interesting.
Contradictions make us human, less scripted. Honesty and a willingness to give the world authentic pieces of yourself as you transition, helped Pac as well.

Which is why he and the most talented rappers are so successful. They can reach a world of overstimulated conformists, starved for a dose of humanity.
