When Allowed To Speak For Himself, Jesse Jackson Is One Hell of A Man. Jewish Reporters Can Be A Bit Bias. Just A Bit.

"There is a Jena in every state, more blacks are in jail than college. There is a Jena in every state. There is a Jena everywhere. The youth of the crack cocaine sentencing. 5 grams of crack. mandatory. 500 grams of powder probation. 100 to 1 ratio. There is a Jena everywhere. Jena is just a biopsy of the cancer"

No Jesse! You work on the 250 year plan! We boots on the ground now!

clearly he's about covering it all. yesterday was boots. tomorrow......we'll just have to see.

hopefully what we see will make us as proud and as ready for the next fight.

Just messing with you.

However, I've got to give the Brother Jesse some props on that.

Despite what they say about him, he is suggesting a course of action and focus that any good general (serious about empowerment) would suggest.

Maybe that's why he gets such bad press. Unlike too many Civil Rights efforts, he threatens to make this one effective.

"They" say about him, DV?!!!! Didnt you mean, 'despite what I say about him."

...just askin the questions.

Um um.

Nah.

I meant "they":

"Jesse Jackson is a modern day highway robber, says veteran investigative reporter Kenneth R. Timmerman,"

"Yesterday, self-appointed civil- rights activist Jesse Jackson began his seventh annual "Wall Street Project" conference, a fund-raising extravaganza intended to put on display the dazzling array of Jackson's corporate sponsors and shakedown victims." NY Post

"The Truth About Jesse"

Jesse Jackson isn't letting anything like a secret out-of-wedlock daughter and growing questions about his personal and organization funding get him down.

Has the accumulative bad press made brother Jesse a washed up civil rights leader - unfortunately yes.

But then again ... Don't Call It A Come Back!

is the grass on this side of fence the same color as the grass on the other side, DV? I'm just wondering, since you've been on both sides I figured you would know.

Jesse has his flaws (pussy and money), but what he said was true as hell. His speech at the Million Man March was a classic as well.

Nah Robyn.

You aint never heard me talking about Jesse's money or sex life.

I might talk about the futility of civil rights tactics. But I've been very conscious of the change in media coverage Jesse received after the Hymie Town remarks and after he rescued those American servicemen in the middle east - as a private citizen.

No you aint talked about his cash or his chicks. But you did talk all up under his clothes regarding his current utility to our community. Am I trippin or wasnt it you that oft chanted any combination of the following:

PLantation negros get on your nerves, beggin the white man aint been effective in 60 years, the civil rights movement is dead and it was the wrong approach in the first place, blacks have failed to progress, Jesse and Al dont get it, they havent come up with anything that really worked, etc. etc.

Now today you all on the man's team.

GTFOOH!
