lol. yeah. it cracks me up.

But, for real, the Egyptians were some beautiful and fascinating people weren't they?

When this painting was created, Egpyt, then called "Kemet", was already a 1,000 year old civilization.

The US just reached 200 years old, and we will lucky to reach 250.

Nice.
I am not going to say any thing inflammatory, although I can think of a couple of things.

Having traveled extensively in Egypt, and some other places, round about that area, and traveled in some very out of the way places there, it was one of my favorite places.
One of my very favorite places on this earth is the Siwa Oasis which is located in the western Sahara desert near the Libyan border.

I spent a whole lot more time there than I expected to, and would be interested in going back there.

I have thought that it might be an interesting and nice place to live, but I am stuck on living in the great America, with all its hidden potential right now.

If any one here googles Siwa Oasis take a look at the interesting exotic culture, and beautiful place.
I swam in desert Oasis pools.
I visited the temple of Zeus Amen and spent many hours absolutely alone there because this is such an out of the way place.
It is located on a rock acropolis in the Oasis.
It is an oracle temple, and that is the reason I went there. To visit this very interesting temple.
Even though our host does not seem to understand it in regard to me, I am a student of Religion, and always have been. Religion in its many guises.
Alexander also made a visit to this temple, as did Herodotus.

I also went into some ancient underground tombs, that were full of mummy wrappings, and beautiful glyphs.
I suggest to any one here if they have a chance go to Egypt.
Walk around the pyramids, see the sphinx and go to the national museum in Cairo.
Also vist Alexandria a truly great city.
BTW, They thought perhaps, in Siwa, that I was somehow a long lost relative somehow connected.
Why ?
Because my look is a little bit like a Berber.

Sounds like some good traveling Skip.

In the future, don't hesitate to say something because it might be inflammatory.

As long as it's interesting, not redundant and reflects the truth - post it.
