The High Protein Myth

" the need for high protein is centers around the issue of fear rather than based on fact. The initial research, for the most part, was financed by the meat and dairy industry. They decided 120 grams of protein per day was needed.

Today modern research shows something entirely different. Research from around the world shows that a more accurate protein need is between 20 and 30 grams for men and non pregnant women. the journal of clinical nutrition states we need approximately 2.5% of our total calories to be protein. This is around 18 grams of protein per day. The world health organization suggests 4.5 % of our calories, or about 32 grams per day.

Mothers milk get's 5% of it's calories from protein.

Corporate propaganda rules what people 'think' in regard to food.

A ploy to sell certain things is part of the public relations (propaganda) machine, of commercial lying, all done to make 'money'.

Ignorance is deadly. We have a deadly society. Thats why things always turn out wrong in the present situation of our culture.
That can be changed.
