The Sperm Lotto Lunch

Scary Spice was spotted Thursday meeting up with Nicole Murphy – Eddie Murphy's ex-wife and the mother of five of his children – at Beverly Hills eatery the Ivy, where the pair laughed over bottled water and lunch.

Joining the two women were daughters Angel Iris, Brown's 4-month-old, and 5-year-old Bella Zahra, Murphy's youngest child with Nicole.

"They seemed really friendly toward one another," says an onlooker of the pair, who wore curve-hugging dresses and posed for cameras outside. "They had a pretty private meal in the back corner, away from all of us."

The lunch date came one day after Brown and her lawyer Gloria Allred held a press conference claiming that Brown's former boyfriend Murphy "has not paid one penny of child support." A DNA test in June established that the actor is the father, but "paternity has not been legally acknowledged," according to Allred.

your headline is awfully disrespectful and assumptive.

those children are siblings and perhaps, just perhaps, despite the fact that eddie is a shmuck, they know the value of these children caring about and knowing one another.

should they not talk becuase people will assume they are ganging up on him. maybe he should have kept it at the house then.

This was the biggest bunch of bullshit I've seen in a long time. I almost dont blame Eddie anymore. And I was shocked that Nicole Murphy would be a part of the nonsense. At the IVY!? If it was about siblings meeting, invite one another over to the house. It pains me to see Black women allowing all that Hollywood is to inflict such clear deterioration. When its all said and done, sistas are supposed to have more grace. Atleast thats what I always thought.

Anonymous said...

so they can't meet at a restaurant like you and your girlfriends??

because the whole situation is a mess they should meet behind closed doors while he flashes up and down the red carpet with a NEW sista?

i don't get it. how do the women with the babies always end up with the shit end of the stick?

phuck eddie. he decided to have babies with these women. the results of that he does not get to control.

he should make wiser decisions.

if she has any eggs left, tracy will be at the next meeting.

The Ivy Jasai?

These broads could have lunched all day at Denny's and the only difference would have been the absence of the cameras.

Call a spade a spade girl. Just because its a black woman spade dont make it any less a spade.

paul said...

You have to pay to play.

Anonymous said...

I'm with you Jasai, really.

But, and a big BUT-- to touch on what Robyn is getting at...the IVY? So, it would have been too much like right to have a nice lunch at one of their homes...they had to hit hottest celeb spot in all of LA! What gets me is, I expect this from Mel B. But Nicole...after all the time Nicole has held her tongue, she finally says to the frickin' paps "Good luck, Tracy!" For real Nicole? Now you're angry? Where did that come from? Did these two REALLY meet up at the IVY so that their children could meet, or to trash-talk Eddie? Granted, he's a piece of shit for the way he's handled the whole thing...but they've officially joined the two-wrongs-don't-make-a-right club. It's sad.

Anonymous said...

i don't care if they were trying to be seen.

why would they be trying not to is the question?

they are celebrity. they are always trying to be seen. what makes this different? becuas ethey are two sistas with babies bythe same man. should should call for them to keep their meeting low?

CTFO!

Perfectly put Ericka!

Anonymous said...

what is CTFO?

Denmark Vesey said...

Nah nah nah Jasai.

Un un.

Eddie a smuck?

Why? Because he asked for a paternity test?

Because he didn't do an interview with Barbara Walters confessing his love of Mel B?

Neither Nicole nor Mel B, nor any of those children will work a day in their lives because of this "smuck".

The Ivy? They might as well have met for lunch on the set of Hard Copy.

This "Lunch" has more to do with Mel B. and Nicole than it does with any children.

CITFO
cut it the ____ out.

(im eating and typing. kinda messy.)

Denmark Vesey said...

Oh.

Robyn. You killed it. Nail on the head.

For a baby, you wise beyond your years.

to DV's last sentence: So?

everything he's doing is about him. everybody here is super immature.

but why no posts dedicated to his dispicable behavior.

not one.

Denmark Vesey said...

Jasai,

WHAT DID THE MAN DO, THAT WAS SO "DISPICABLE"?

She got the loot. (oops. excuse me. "child support")

Did he not the write the check fast enough?

Anonymous said...

Not true at all Jasai.

The very day this story broke. Everyone on the blog dissed Eddie. Even DV, came correct, and said, "damn, yall right, Eddie's trippin."

And Eddie is trippin! But that aint cause for these broads to use this new child as an additional pay day. I use the word "additional" becuase both these chicks have already collected a shit load of dough. Mel B included.

As far as I'm concerned, these women should he ashamed of themselves over the Ivy trip.

To tell you the truth, I was even willing to let Gloria (Allred) slide, but this tipped over the edge into full fledges opportunism.

To be honest the only one acting like a respectable lady in all of this is Tracy! Who you notably hated on up above. Dont really get why.

paul said...

Unko DV...now do you understand why prenups are needed? These gold diggin' tricks will have you fooled and by the time you become enlightened, it's too late.....love is blind.

Anonymous said...

Paul, here's some free legal advice.

You cant contract away child support. What that means is child support rates are set by statute, any contract provision that provides less than what a court would otherwise order paid is null and void.

You can come to an agreement as to alimony, and the disposition of property, but not child support.

So...in this case Eddie would have had to come out the pocket regardless.

You keep callin me a baby........SMH.

re tracy:

I don't know if I would be engaging to a man with this kind of trail behind him. but who knows, maybe she's just getting in line for hers as well. then she'll be next weeks trick.

nobody is mad at celebrities for being where the shine is until you decide to judge an issue "above base behavior."

please.

they know you out there lookin' so they're showin'.

Anonymous said...

What did he do that was so wrong?

Lets see:

Denied even the POSSIBILITY that it could be his baby.

Had no shame in doing so PUBLICLY, playing to any camera that would see/hear him.

And to date has not paid a DIME for the child who was determined to be his.

What has he done right? Taken the test? That’s probably because Tracy made him. So she is good for something.

And if you’re wondering about my beef with her, it’s real and personal and has nothing to do with anything on TV.

He’ll be shitting on her or she’ll be shitting on him in the media soon enough.

Anonymous said...

And if I recall, DV's original post on this was again shitting on this woman. Only when we jumped on him did he reconsider his position.

That is pathological.

paul said...

I hear your Robyn...my point is money complicates things. Nothing wrong with insurance.

As far as child support goes...it's based on income...right? I'm glad I'm self-employed. Young Jeezy claimed he owned no house, no cars and had no income in his child support case (his company owned and paid for everything).

Michael Fisher said...

Like I said. Expensive pussy. In more ways than one.

Fact is, Eddie's been in our business so long he should've known who is layin' with. Shoot, he told us himself: "half" HALF". So now he gotta pay.

Hope at least it was good with magic dust sprinkled on it.

Cest la vie.

Anonymous said...

No objection from me on your characterization of Eddie's actions. An asshole, straight up.

But the IVY!!!?????????? For real? That child should not have been anywhere on Robertson.

Anonymous said...

Robyn, I guess really i don't understand your arguement. celebrities hang there all the time for the very reason they were Nicole and spice girl were there.

I've never heard such vehement objection before to such obvious and common behavior.

Anonymous said...

My take on the situation is very plain Jasai. These ladies were at The Ivy, together, with their children, for the purpose of continuing/intensifying the media coverage of the circumstance between Mel B and Eddie Murphy.

Is your argument simply that celebrities go the Ivy all the time so these chicks should be able to go to?

Well somebody should tell these chicks about Mastro's, celebrities go there all the time sans the cameras out front.

Anonymous said...

okay

Michael Fisher said...

What gets me is that these brothers in my buiness keep playing ring-around-the-rosey with these women. My boy used to srcew my wife who used to screw my boy's boy, who used to screw his wife...

That shit is real sick.

It actually kept me from marrying a pretty dope sistah from...what's that black bougie residential area accross from Baldwin Hills?

In any case, the sister was highly intelligent, educated, Masters and all. And beautiful. Plus the girl had her own bank. So it wasn't that she was a skeezer.

Just... I couldn't get over the fact that a few of my boys in the industry had had a "relationship" with her.

But then again, who am I to talk...

Anonymous said...

Hey Mike you talkin about my hood.

The area is called View Park. (or Ladera Heights or Windsor Hills)

Michael Fisher said...

"Ladera Heights". Yeah, I think that's the ticket. I betta shut up 'fore you identify her...

wow DV, wow.

Anonymous said...

I dont know if the chick is a ho. But she was wrong for the stint at the Ivy.

Denmark Vesey said...

wow Dv nothing Jasai.

Eddie has been called everything from a "schmuck" to an "asshole" to a "jerk" to a "dog" to an "animal".

Where do you get these rules of propriety that suggest men can be called the most heinous names imaginable but a woman who behaves with something less than grace and dignity must be referred to in proper nouns?

Mel B. didn't even wait for the baby to be born before she started negotiating through TV cameras.

"Eddie has to pay!"

Eddie has to "pay" whom? Who exactly is getting paid? Mel B. is not destitute, she can certainly handle the babies daily needs. Her behavior is shameless.

I wouldn't want to have anything to do with a woman who handled herself like that. Baby or no gotdamn baby.

Anonymous said...

I've been re-reading the comments and am struck by a recurring theme and the different takes on said theme.

That theme is "in light of all that has gone (b/c you cant change it) on how should one act."

DV's take on the theme is:
"I wouldn't want to have anything to do with a woman who handled herself like that. Baby or no gotdamn baby."

I agree that Mel B's presence at the Ivy constitutes handling/carrying herself poorly.

Jasai, the comment that you had that I think relates to the theme is the following:
"phuck eddie. he decided to have babies with these women. the results of that he does not get to control."

My question/statement is this:
At what point, as a woman, is it not about giving Eddie the finger, but instead about respecting yourself.

Jasai, I'm dumbfounded that you would not embrace this wholeheartedly. Just as you wanted to show your son that you were above the need to stick it to his Dad, shouldnt someone tell Mel B to handle her business with some class and outside of the media as much as possible?

Hope that made sense, Im trying to spit it out quickly as I'm working.

Michael Fisher said...

Well, the difference between Jasai and Mel B is as DV said Mel B is a ho, Jasai is not. Thus the disparity in behavior.

As for Eddie, he got caught up with a ho. It happens in our industry. Happened to me too. The pussy was magical. Thus I temporarily lost my mind. I just was lucky and didn't get her pregnant.

Anonymous said...

what praytell is magical pussy in Mike Fisher's world? I'm curios.

Anonymous said...

curious.

Michael Fisher said...

You'se a woman, Robyn. You wouldn't understand.

paul said...

Unko Mike...I know exactly what you mean when you talk about "magical"

Who cares if she's a ho...that has nothing to do with it...Most (not all, but damn near) have either been a ho...are a ho...or will be a ho.

Anonymous said...

Okay lets stop before this goes somewhere else and I have to cus yall out.

Denmark Vesey said...

LOL. Robyn!

That's my girl.

You too Paul. That's some funny sh*t.

Anonymous said...

I'm not saying it wouldn't be helpful to her and her baby if she behaved differently. I'm saying why are we so outraged that she's not?

She is doing now what she was doing before she had the baby and nobody was mad. and the reasons that are being given is that she has enough money and doesn't need eddie's or that she knows cameras are watching and somehow that should be a thing to avoid.

She's a spice girl.

Eddie had a baby with a spice girl he was dating casually.

Why are we now chastising her like Corretta King flew into the bat cave and came out as Mel B?

If you think she would probably hurt less by letting it go, you’re right.

If you think the rift between two immature parents might narrow more quickly if she turned the shine down some, you’re right.

But as for her being a lot on it and a ho and too much for all the dignified negro set, that’s some bullisht. She is doing now what she’s been doing; getting her shine on. Spice girl style.

Eddie didn’t know?

Michael Fisher said...

this is from rhymeswithsnitch.com:

When Scary met Eddie...She was coasting into the gas station on the last fumes of her music money. She wasn't broke? Not technically, but she'd had to part with a substantial portion of her fortune when she divorced Jimmy Gulzar and she knew her high-income earning days were long past. At the time she met Murphy, no one was even thinking about a Spice Girls reunion tour, so Scary was on the hunt. Early on it was all good. Problem was, the "relationship" was over before it really had a chance to take off. Scary's positives: her humor, raunchy sex appeal and British accent were overshadowed by an unfortunate truth: she's as common as dirt: loud, tacky and two steps up from the ghetto. Murphy's kids didn't care for her and after she argued with his mother, Murphy decided Scary was done. No explanation necessary. He simply stopped returning her calls. Within days he began to hear rumors that she was pregnant with his baby. Rumors that Murphy simply couldn't believe because hadn't Scary assured him she was on birth control pills before the handful of times they'd had sex? So, when a Dutch reporter questioned him about the baby, Eddie snapped. But deep down he knew. He knew that Mel B had played him like a violin, just as Elizabeth Hurley had likewise played billionaire Stephen Bing.

Months later DNA test results revealed the truth: Eddie was the father of Mel B's baby and she'd made it clear she had played to win. She stepped up her public relations game by talking to anyone who would listen about how Eddie Murphy had done her wrong; she floated the false rumor that she had decided to name her baby girl Daphne "Fortuna" Bay; and had, incredibly, succeeded in having her labor induced—just minutes after midnight—on Eddie Murphy's birthday. By now no one could doubt Mel's seriousness about getting paid. While Murphy had never seriously considered the idea of marrying her—let alone fathering her baby—Mel spun their brief relationship into an engagement gone bad. She demeaned him in public statements every opportunity she could and began laying a groundwork of suspicion about Murphy's "lifestyle," in addition to alleging that the size of his manhood was insufficient to meet her needs. Enter Mr. not-the-son-of-Harry Belafonte, aka Stephen Stansbury. If it's true that like attracts like, then Scary and Stephen are made for each other. Both are street-smart, complicated players with very checkered-pasts. For Mel B, it's a relationship based as much on her wounded pride as anything else. She'd been very publicly dumped by a movie star, and after she proved capable of tricking him into a serious financial obligation, she was branded used and dangerous goods by anyone noteworthy who otherwise might have considered dating her.

Ironically, Mel's big Eddie payday comes just at the time her music career seems on the upswing. With a concert tour scheduled for the fall, she may once again find herself with a fat bank account. Even considering that, her wealth is still microscopic when compared to her band-mate Posh, or Eddie, for that matter, but Scary's expanded purse will prove more than adequate to keep Mr. Bela-whomever in the picture, at least for the moment. Remembering how badly she has been burned by California's community property laws in the past, it will be interesting to see how she conducts her business and personal affairs in the future. As far as Murphy is concerned, it's a closed chapter. When push came to shove he was able to demand that Scary take-or-leave a (hefty) lump sum support payment to bring the matter to a quick close. He has no intention of building a relationship with baby Angel at this time, since that would mean dealing with her mother. But it's probably a safe bet that the public has not yet heard the last of this story, at least from the standpoint of Mel B. Her ways of fighting for what she wants are straight from the gutter and those tactics have served her very well.

Mel B. aint no different from any other woman.

All women are exactly the same.

Virtue, dignity and grace are abstraction notions bandied about by judgmental bigots seeking to place an inordinate amount of blame on women who just happen to get pregnant while boning millionaires.

If Mel B. chooses to share her private life with the gossip media, hire TV lawyers and talk about "Eddies cock" on international TV ... Oh Well.

Everything is everything and all shall be what Mel B. says it shall be she is on her own journey and this too shall pass.

cool?
