The High Fructose Corn Syrup in this soda will damage this young girl far worse than Hip Hop, casual sex or drugs.

it can certainly serve to impair her judgement as it relates to those things.

When money is used to make every choice, the cheaper ingredient is used.
That follows through with every other aspect of choice when money is the arbiter.

but as a parent skip, i can choose to drink and serve water. and eventually the money grubbers will have to make a healthier product.

that's how the market should work but the consumer, for the most part, is a puppet and underestimates its power.

Corn syrup more damaging than drugs???? You must not know about crack and smack.

You must not know about juvenile diabetes, obesity, attention deficit disorder and ritalin.

One hit of sugar won't lead to a life long physical addiction that your body craves like it craves oxygen....They don't compare.

they do because typically, grown folks do crack but we give this shit as "treats' to children en mass.

more people die from the effects of improper use/abuse of corn syrup than than do from taking crack or smack.

believe that.

this lie we are telling ourselves is KILLING us!

try to get off sugar and see what happens to you.

you could see the same effects in rehab.

most people won't do it because the mere mental trip of the idea pains them.

one hit of crack can cause a myocardial infarction....They don't compare.

You can still maintain a healthy body with a soda every blue moon.

All things in moderation

Give me a break with the extremist thinking.

the fact that you think this shit is just in your "blue moon soda" guarantees you will have diabetes in 20 years.

ignorance is not always bliss.

check the numbers; blacks that are sick/die from sugar related illness vs. those that die on crack.

the gap is incomprehensible.

pull out every item in your home and read the labeling.

it is between the first and third ingredient on EVERYTHING you buy from the store that doesn't spring from the ground. EVERYTHING.

Consumption of beverages containing fructose rose 135 percent between 1977 and 2001. Food and beverage manufacturers began switching their sweeteners from sucrose (table sugar) to corn syrup in the 1970s when they discovered that HFCS was not only cheaper to make, it was also much sweeter (processed fructose is nearly 20 times sweeter than table sugar), a switch that has drastically altered the American diet.

In 1966, sucrose made up 86 percent of sweeteners. Today, 55 percent of sweeteners used are made from corn.

I said blue moon soda because of the image of the little girl drinking the beverage. What did I say that implied I only think fructose is in soda???

I never argued that poor diet kills less people than crack.

I simply stated that the little girl taking a hit of crack compared to a hit of fructose is not comparable.

he couldn't fit all of the kids drinking all of the soda all of the time on the blog.

there ain't enough bandwith - or whatever you would need - in the world.
