First I try not to go off topic. This is about DB and AS. They both are motivated by money. This isn't that complex of an issue. I don't agree with Sharpton becoming an opportunist nor Banner for fighting against responsibility in lyrics and it's glorification of the gansta way of life.

Very simple DV you support rappers who want to rap about hoes and guns. I don't.. very simple. In Jimmy Iovine's world you are a conformist because he and his corporation have convinced you to support his money maker gansta rap. You never question why all fiddy raps about is money. Or why snoop can only rap about hoes. Or why GAME only raps about capping somebody. So who is the conformist here. I challenged the bullshit!. Was Malcolm a confirmist when he challenged the system for pushing dope in his community DV???

You decide... You have to live with yourself.

Robyn: you seriously cant see where this is even the slightest bit overly-simplistic?

(and I didnt even hurl an insult at you, as I am genuinely interested in your answer to the question.)

New York City!
You are now rapping...with 50 Cent
You gotta love it...
I just wanna chill and twist a lot
Catch suns in my 7-45
You drive me crazy shorty I
Need to see you and feel you next to me
I provide everything you need and I
Like your smile I don't wanna see you cry
Got some questions that I got to ask and I
Hope you can come up with the answers babe

[Nate Dogg]
Girl...It's easy to love me now
Would you love me if I was down and out?
Would you still have love for me?

[50 Cent]
If I feel off tomorrow would you still love me?
If I didn't smell so good would you still hug me?
If I got locked up and sentenced to a quarter century,
Could I count on you to be there to support me mentally?
If I went back to a hoopty from a Benz, would you poof and disappear like
some of my friends?
If I was hit and I was hurt would you be by my side?
If it was time to put in work would you be down to ride?
I'd get out and peel a nigga cap and chill and drive
I'm asking questions to find out how you feel inside
If I ain't rap 'cause I flipped burgers at Burger King
would you be ashamed to tell your friends you feelin' me?
And in bed if I used to my tongue, would you like that?
If I wrote you a love letter would you write back?
Now we can have a lil' drink you know a nightcap
And we could go do what you like, I know you like that

Are you mad 'cause I'm asking you 21 questions?
Are you my soulmate? 'Cause if so, girl you a blessing
Do you trust me enough, to tell me your dreams?
I'm staring at ya' trying to figure how you got in them jeans
If I was down would you say things to make me smile?
I treat you how you want to be treated just teach me how
If I was with some other chick and someone happened to see?
And when you asked me about it I said it wasn't me
Would you believe me? Or up and leave me?
How deep is our bond if that's all it takes for you to be gone?
And always remember girl we make mistakes, to make it up I do whatever it take
I love you like a fat kid love cake
You know my style I say anything to make you smile

I asked Robyn, II. Not you. But since we're on it...

II, does 50 Cent hate black women?

Does Snoop Dog hate black women?

Mike, I'm not a 50 fan, so I cant answer. But from what I see of Snoop in public, no. Why?

Intellectual Insurgent said...

I wasn't responding to your question Fisher.

When Casper said that all 50 raps about is hoes and guns, I wanted to check for myself. Turns out it's not true.

I don't know either Snoop or 50, so I have no idea if they hate Black women.

Mike,

There are people who read your posts and deduce you hate black women. I know because I've read as much.

I'm sure there are people who deconstruct 50's and Snoops lyrics and deduce they hate black women.

I'm sure, given a chance, all three of you would dismiss such presumptions as absurd and would each give examples of your deep and abiding love for black women.

People believe what they want to believe.

Now - I never knew that the occasional use of the word bitch or the acknowledgment of the phenomena called hoin' is synonymous with 1) Calling Black Women Ho's or 2) Hating Black Women.

That's some shit ya'll Rap Resenters project onto men you hate for probably some Freudian ass reason anyway.

Michael, does Quinton Tarrintino hate black women? He had Uma Thurman shoot Vivica Fox in the face with a magnum.

Does the Rap Hater litmus test for labeling a man as a "hater of black women" also apply to white boys?

Maybe if you lived in the hood... You would understand the messages.

Maybe if I lived in the hood??? That coming from an engineer. LOL!!!! Comedy.

"Does the Rap Hater litmus test for labeling a man as a "hater of black women" also apply to white boys? "

Marshall Matthers came out on wax and admitted he hated his mother and ex-wife... So why won't fiddy and snoop. 50 knows the chicks only want his jock now because he's got loot. Therefore he's got no real love for them. It's understandable. But help us understand groupie love!

Casper's an engineer? I thought he worked with kids after spending time in prison. I'm not joking, wasnt that him?

You know it's a bad day for the Rap Haters when they get to that point.

Negro, you live in the hood and you don't understand the messages.

Geography has nothing to do with the ability to appreciate art.

Art! See that's groupie love talk. Now fiddy is Picaso. "I Get Money"... "In the Club"... "I am going Straight to the Bank". Yes fine pieces of groupie love art. Guess you have the lyrics hanging in your gallery of your Bel Air.. Huh ? Fresh Prince
