Is it me? Or is the corporate media throwing gasoline on the "Hate Barry Bonds" fire?
The ball hadn't cleared the fence before these little sarcastic sports announcers began the hypnotic chant: "But what does it mean? Should we be happy? Is Bud Selig going to come on the field?". Before Barry trotted past first base, the camera was focused on people holding * signs. As Barry rounded third the camera lingered on Bud Selig, going out of his way to appear indifferent.
To hell with a Bud Selig. That was an amazing accomplishment. Congratulations Mr. Bonds.

Most of the big time sports teams and players are controlled and manipulated by organized crime.
Most of the associated business of sports is wrapped around phony advertising, and phony hero worship, trumped up by propagandist advertising, for mostly death generating products.
