"We can't be psuedo-revolutionaries, driving Benzes and Lexus, but steady talkin' about saving Black America from the neocons. The Revolution will not be televised." Big J
WTF. What you got against a Beemer, a Benz, or a Lexus? I love riding in my Lex. And I greatly enjoyed my Benzes and my Beemers. I wish some African mofos made cars like that. I'd buy it.
What are you makin' revolution for, Big J? To spread mofo POVERTY? Are you outta your mind? Ain't nobody in the hood that respects a revolutionary who wants to set an example by being poor as f**k. Well, maybe y'all LA Negroes, but not my Harlem folk.

Big J. The Revolution WILL be televised. Accept that nobody is trying to watch the Huxtables.

If you're gonna quote me, quote the rest:
"Nobody black is gonna follow someone like that.
Why do you think black kid are following Fitty and Snoop? 'Cause either of these assholes is so pretty? Naw, it's because they make these kids believe that they found some autonomous way to material comfort and self-determination. Black folk like being rich. They dream about it every damn day. Every damn dollar represents a unit of freedom. After 400 years of nothing, what the heck is wrong with being materialistic?
It is HOW we go about getting that cheese, not THAT we get it. Do we do it by playing puppet for Massa, and that is what integrationist is really about (which makes Thurgood, Fitty, and Snoop all essentially the same), or do we do it by finding strength within ourselves?
If you wanna be a revolutionary, show black folk how to get that wealth and that self-determination. Be a fabulously wealthy black man and get it the only way that's real, by being autonomous.
That's the only way that you can tear away black kids from the lie that Fitty and their ilk are living. The truth being that these guys do nothing but suck these same Neo-Con's Hollywood faction's dicks all day long."
We don't have to agree. It's fine to have different viewpoints. Most blacks think money is the end all be all. I disagree.

Side note: I like how DV has put each of our "pictures" up.
for real...
I think that is a main weakness of a lot of the revolutionary movements. Negroes is tired of being broke! It is not fun to have no money...
'It's hard bein young in the slum eatin bubble gum, eatin 5 cent gum, not knowin where your meals coming from'.- Things Done Changed - Biggie
There is a balance between making money your primary focus in life and acting like money doesn't matter at all. The thing about it is when you don't have it...it's almost impossible to not focus on it. When you have some, you can afford the luxury of comfort to act like it is not a big deal...
I don't want to roll with a bunch of broke ass 'revolutionaries'...even Osama Bin Laden is a millionaire. You gotta be able to at least finance your revolution right?
