The Sperm Lottery

So Eddie is the daddy. Now what?

A DNA test has shown that Eddie Murphy is the father of Melanie Brown'$ baby. Now the only question that remains is - "how much"?

A DNA test has confirmed actor-comedian Eddie Murphy is the father of the newborn daughter of Spice Girl singer Melanie Brown, People magazine reported today, citing Brown's representative.

Brown, 32, gave birth to Angel Iris Murphy Brown in April and listed Murphy as the father on the child's birth certificate, but the star of movies like Beverly Hills Cop and Dreamgirls has never publicly acknowledged paternity.

Earlier this month, media outlets reported that Murphy, 46, had taken a DNA test and Brown's representative, Liza Anderson, told People the results, confirming Murphy's paternity, were given to Brown yesterday.

Is this "Demeaning" to black women too? If Eddie didn't pull a Nelly and slide a credit card through Melanie Brown's ass, he should have.

Demeaning? In any such credit card transaction, is it more demeaning to have to pay for pussy or to receive payment for selling it?

I guess it depends on either party's ego.

I don't know Mike. That's a good question.

Do you pay your ex-wife / baby momma?

Eddie knows that he was in a relationship with that chick and that it was a possibility...

Why play yourself and make statements that you are not the baby daddy? That was triflin...now he is walking around looking like a played out episode of Jerry Springer...

If I were the former Mrs. Edmonds...I would be runnin for the hills right now. The whole situation says a lot...

Soteria,

Let's think about this.

It must not have been much of a "relationship" if Eddie appears to not to want to have anything to do with her anymore.

It sounds like they went out a few times and had sex.

Is that a "relationship"?

Sounds like a trap.

If it is a trap, you can't blame a brother for wanting to get out. Some animals have been known to chew there own foot off, to get out of a trap.

As far as the former "Mrs. Edmonds" - why should she run for the hills?

She has already gotten paid from being with one man. Eddie probably has more loot than Babyface. Sounds like she is right in her element.

Dang DV, why are you making both of these women out to be strictly out for the loot?

From what I saw...Eddie and Ms. Brown were a couple for months before she turned up pregnant, and prior to the pregnancy heavily promoted themselves as such...

DV: "It must not have been much of a "relationship" if Eddie appears to not to want to have anything to do with her anymore.

Give me a break DV...I know that you know plenty of men who have been with women for a long time and then suddenly developed 'relationship amnesia' when the woman turned up pregnant...

I hope she gets every last dime to which the child is entitled strictly because of how he humiliated and disrespected her publicly acting as if there was no way that he could be the daddy. Please...the 'she was messing around' distraction is the oldest game in the manual...usually code for I'm tappin someone else so you must be doin the same...

Yeah, I'm with Soteria on this one. Eddie handled this situation poorly and knew DAMN WELL it was his kid. At a minimum, he knew IT COULD HAVE BEEN his kid. So why act an ass? All he was successful in doing was pissing the chick off so now where she would have settled for 10K per month, she's gonna push for 25K. Stupid!

"a trap"...come on DV...it takes two to make a baby. A man of his celebrity should be taking every possible precaution (including flushing the condom down the toilet right after use...ha ha).

Aight Aight Aight,

I think ya'll might be right about this one.

Eddie should have requested the paternity test on the DL, knowing the baby was probably his to begin with. Why unnecessarily humiliate the sista?

I stand corrected.

damn...kinda wish that controversy went on a lil longer...ok, next topic DV!

LOL.

I feel you Soteria.

Nah, it's hard to defend Eddie. However, whenever a washed up singer from a washed up group like the Spice Girls mouths off in the international press about the parental responsibilities of one of the world's biggest movie stars - who she just happened to give some p----y, she should expect cynicism.

Are they going to raise this child together?

No.

This is about money and how much.

Actually, no. My ex-wife (I don't believe in baby mommas) has got to pay me child support. Though, I can assure you, that's not how she had planned it.

C'est la vie.

Good man Mike.

Good to hear that. Your story and the story of brothas like you should be told more often.

I'm getting sick of this "Absentee Black Father" bullshit.

Yeah, In court her black "womanist" attorney and my ex tried to make me look like I was Mr. Mr. and she was Celie. It almost worked...

They played that f****ing racist "the Black Male Beast" card to the hilt. Despite the fact that the woman had been charged with aggravated assault family violence and cruelty to children. Despite the fact, that my daughter repeatedly insisted she wanted to stay with Dad 'cause she felt safer that way.

The white "feminist" female judge almost bought it.

It took extraordinary skill and a lot of money to get out of that death trap.

The ordinary brotha can't compete against this shit...

The portrayal of black men as dangerous"irrational beasts", who threaten the safety of all others, is an old canard.

Yeah, Mike. I can imagine your experience in court. It's one of the reasons I shake my head at those who participate in the mind fuck that suggests "rappers" are responsible for the degradation of black women, violence in America and general pathology festering within the black community.

Not recognizing that "rap" and "Hip Hop" are code words for "young black men" and that the propaganda campaign designed to demonize them is a set up.

Soon young black men ... or rappers ... will be classified as "insurgents" and "domestic enemy combatants."

Sadly, the agents of this scheme, will be other blacks blind to the fact they are being to validate an attack upon their own.

Wow, DV admitted error. I'm gonna save this post!

If Eddie was hittin' it raw dog, he should've kept his mouth shut while the issue was pending. I'm just glad to see Eddie likes women!!!
