"God Don't Make No Mistakes!"

Don't believe the hype. Floyd Mayweather kicked Oscar De La Hoya's ass. It was a virtuoso performance. Mayweather made one of the fastest, well trained and experienced fighters in the sport look slow, tense and confused. No, he did not kill Oscar. No he did not maim Oscar. Boxing is as much art as sport. Mayweather is Picasso with gloves. This is boxing. Not professional wrestling. Were Mayweather an undefeated white boy and pound for pound best in the sport, they would have already poured a bronze statue of his ass on the Vegas Strip. Do your thing Floyd.

Why did HBO find it necessary to focus the camera and the attention of 450 million people world-wide on the nonsensical ramblings of Floyd Mayweather Sr.? LET IT GO pops. Your son won the fight without you. Be proud of him. Stop looking for ways to insert yourself into everything.

Who the hell is Larry Merchant? Has he ever had a fight in his life? Why must fight fans be subject to his inane analogies and punk ass sarcasm during and after every major prize fight in America? You w0uld think Floyd Mayweather Jr. had just stolen something instead of having just won a boxing title judging by the cynical, self-righteous pontification of this Satan worshipin' son of a bitch.

Shit, I actually miss Don King.

Larry Merchant is classic. I love him for the way he'll say some stupid ish, just to get under a fighter's skin. Unlike Jim Gray, when he says something that is clearly insulting he doesn't flinch. On Saturday though his bias was readily apparent while he was yucking it up with Oscar.

I give Oscar props for fighting his best but he still lost going away. Any fans that say Oscar won, don't know boxing - hit and don't get hit.

As far as Floyd Sr., is concerned I'm taking his assesment, ("Oscar won") with a big grain of salt. That man's trying to work for Oscar again, that's about it.

DV,
Floyd may have won the fight, but it was not that great of a performance. Moving up in divisions is a bad move for him. He fought an older Oscar. He had better retire before he fights someone for real in that division. Floyd has zero power in the bigger weights. All that pretty boy sh** is gonna get him knocked to sleep.

I agree that we didnt see Floyd's best performance, but those people that claim Oscar -- with his 25% ass -- won the fight are nuts.
