What did the Cuban people do to us?

Dennis Kucinich and President George W. Bush have taken diametrically opposite positions concerning Cuba. Kucinich has now called for an end to the embargo against that Communist nation.

Rep. Kucinich (D-OH) said "The United States' Cuba policy is a failure. The unilateral embargo must be lifted. The persistently hostile and aggressive rhetoric must cease. We must lift not only the trade embargo. We must also lift the travel ban. We must cooperate with Cuba on issues of national security."

"It is time to create a new era in Cuban-American relations," he said.

The administration, however, remains firm that the embargo must remain in place.
WHY?

I'll be paying attention to the comments on this one as I dont know much about the "why" question. Not much that bothers to dig beneath the surface that is.

Well one reason could be that Cuba dared to send operatives here to stop attacks on their country by the Cubans in Miami. One might even dare say that Cuba took a page from the U.S and was trying to fight terrorism. Another could be the homosexual relationship between Castro and Hugo Chavez. I mean two dictators working together to start programs like exchanging Cuban doctors for Oil from Citgo is reprehensible! How dare they work to help people. for this reason they must be stopped! lol
