In general, No. Lol. But I'd give him a pass on a snake. I have a phobia of snakes so I understand -- could only watch a second of the video. (I once tried to jump out of a moving car b/c I thought a friend of mine brought his snake in the car. Serious fight or flight kicked in. He almost ripped my arm off pulling me back into the car. I started hyperventilating and everything.)

But a guy can be afraid of something, he just has to be afraid in a 'manly' way. I know thats likely childish (Jasai has spoken on this in the past) but it is what it is.
He can jump a little bit or be skiddish, but he cant be up under the covers scared like me. :-).
This issue however, (punkdom), likely manifests in ways that have nothing to do with spiders and bugs. My man cannot be a punk in general in the world. Its a major turn off when you (a woman) take less shit than your man. It aint gonna work if a women has that nagging feeling that if shit hits the fan, she'd be more 'bout it' than the guy. I have a cousin who cited this as one of the reasons her marriage did not work out. A man has to command respect.

What if he is a Brian Gumble wannabe and after a lizard jumps on the bottom of his jacket on live TV, he spazzes out, make all these crazy noises and falls back on his ass and then jumps up, regains his composure and tries to act cool saying, "get this thing off me man"?
The spazzin out wouldnt be cool. He could just say 'get that thing the hell away from me' before it all went down. Or, better yet, he could have told his boss or producer the night before that he wasnt down with the snake segment.
I don't like no snakes, but this dude took it to another level.
