ARE POLITICIANS STILL RELEVANT?


If we had 30 Harold Ford's, 5 Barak Obama's and 2 Jesse Jackson's in Congress - 1 million black men and women would still be in prison. Our nation would still occupy a country that had nothing to do with 911. 60% of the African American population would be suffering from obesity, diabetes and colon cancer.

well said. reminds me of something i read awhile ago asking are black politicians relevant. looking at the total state of black america i think we have the answer.

Our electoral process has been reduced to the political equivalent of American Idol.

Interesting piece Insurgent. Raimondo knows how to blow the hype away.

But we know the way it works - the price for admission to the political process in this country (campaign donations & friendly press) is to kowtow to the Israeli lobby - which means signing on for unlimited war in the middle east.
