But let's be honest.
If homes had been shot in a 2001 Toyota Maxima ... would we even know about it?
Would the police response and media coverage have been so keen?
What is it about the illusion of material wealth that demands more attention from us? Is it evidence that money is God in this culture?
I actually took it as the makings of an eventual "evil hip hop" story.
Ol' boy, whose race they havent reported (interesting), is 25 y.o. driving around in a Bentley with paper plates from Dream motorsports. I just knew he was going to be some up and coming rapper or something with the message being "see where all the rappers end up" or something to that effect.
Strangely, that didnt happen. Maybe that's a good thing.
