In a DVNet Fug A. Gallop Poll ... 65% of respondents challenged the meme of the Perpetually Deadbeat Black Dad and acknowledged they were raised by their fathers. Despite the media bombardment of negative imagery, statistics and destructive propaganda only 13% of those polled claimed not to be raised by their fathers at all.

Are you really celebrating 65%? That's like celebrating going 1 for 10 from the three point line.
Nope.
Not celebrating it. Documenting it.
Challenging the Myth. Adjusting the expectation.
Fighting Fire with Fire.
However, considering the vast war on men, husbands and fathers - I'd consider 35% of families raised by their fathers a reason for a gun salute.
2 footnotes:
1) This is not random sampling - but only Blacks well-off enough to have regular access to the internet...and smart enough to regularly read a blog like this one.
2) There's a generation gap lag. I would wager that most people here might average in their 30s. Maybe some 20s, some 40s.
Point is, their fathers were thus Baby Boomers raised in post-WWII America - pre-2nd wave feminism.
And are thus not really representative of the current generation.
Hence, 65% for this "elite," older group is actually not a very high number at all.
And poll some kids in a public school today and you might get some different numbers more in line with the 70% of Black babies born to single mamas now...
Well Byrd,
You can do that to any fucking poll.
Sample the group you want ... to get the results ... you want.
I submit those that control the polls conduct them in a manner designed to get the results they want.
Those that want to marginalize black men, husbands and fathers promote the stats that assist their cause.
I reject them.
On a Level Playing Field, black men are America's best fathers.
And this poll proves it.
So what is it that unleveled the playing field, DV?
Michael Fisher said...

The monopolization of media distribution by Satanic secular atheists determined to kill the spirit of humanity.
Hey Mike.
Where you been man?
Great post Illmath.
Like Pfizer and the Center for such and such, DV polled about 8 people. Hilarious, but I get the point.
Exactly Robyn.
If I had polled 80 people, or 800 people or 1,800 people - I can get the answers I want.
And so can those who bombard us with "mind shaping" Polls upon Polls upon Polls everyday.
"Poll" is code word for mass hypnosis.
Well, there really is a science to polling, and the results can be scientifically-valid and suprisingly accurate even with a very small sample size....IF the sampling is truly random sampling.
The whole key is in random sampling though.
Again, try sampling a bunch of kids at the playground or public school and then see what you get when results are not filtrated by a huge generation gap, regular internet access and political-awareness.
Well, actually the results are already in - 70% single mamas for Black babies born today.
