What amazes me is that this "woman's" nervous breakdown over a fucking dog has been a news story for 2 weeks.

All of this has caused my husband to deny me the right to a pet dog in the house.

It is impossible for one to ignore the parallels between the emotional energy Degeneris spent on this puppy and the sort of emotional investment most women her age have in children.

No, a grown woman should not have cried like that behind a dog, but i think her reasons went beyond the actual dog.
She was crying because she had given a dog to two children and the dog was snatched out of the home. Kids and dogs are enough to make a grown person feel like the devil. Especially if you're a super-sensitive lesbian white woman. None of us know what that family's situation was like either, to where that dog could have really meant something to them.
3,000 bucks is too much to spend on a dog, but i'm sure Ellen gives equally to human rights causes.
