Mannnn, we're seeing an institutional assassination of the character of Kobe Bryant led by the front office of the Lakers and the NBA. The suits understand the Laker Nation is still emotionally attached to Kobe Bryant so they are creating the perfect circumstances for the Lakers to be ass. Once the Lakers consistently under perform the "fans" will pretty much crucify Kobe causing him to demand a trade and/or retire. Why? Because they are ready to move to the next phase of the Lakers franchise. They do not want to spend the money/assets to provide Kobe with a supporting cast to go for another shot at the ring.
