Okay so I was talking with one of my single guy friends who I love to oodles. And I said it's time for you to get hitched (actually it was his time a long time ago he just turned 31 ;) and he said

"Someone once told me she'd find me."

"They lied," I said. "You're the man. Cast your net. Then you'll find her."

I have my own thoughts about why this generation has put marriage on pause, grandad hee hee hee.

I think a lot of men and single women are on a chase for establishing the funding for a family, so to speak.

Do you think it's wise to get a chick before "having all your stuff together"? because that's the excuse I hear most often....especially now.

^O. Mahogany,

Before my wife and I had our daughter, we wanted to "wait until we got our stuff together.". Once she came, we wanted to "wait until we got our stuff together.". A year later, we jumped the broom with a one year old little girl, and no "stuff together.". But we weren't going yto have a second child, until "our stuff was together.". Five years later, and here comes my main man Emmanuel...stuff still not together. We've been married seven years, have two beautiful children, and I wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING...even to be able to say our "stuff is together"

Kcuf that stuff...

At 28 I have been hearing that same rigamor from men too, "I need to be financially secure before we can take it to the next level". WTH. This thinking is not progressive for the development of family ie. relationships, children, progressive, etc. Most men fail to realize that they need compassion and determination for survival. Yes you must have income and be able to keep a family with food and shelter but to have a house (mortgage trap), new/luxury/nice car (payment trap), fancy threads (social trap) and other garbage I hear it's utterly sickening. The only message I get is "What's love gotta do with it." All of these things are excuses if the love and overstanding is there and the determination and work is willing to be put in, then that is the determining factor for making it work in a relationship.
