The fatal flaw of the transhumanist movement is that you cannot transcend that which you do not know. And so in return the transhumanist movement simply becomes an aversion to being human. One turns to radical autonomy in order to transcend being human. Everything we know is made "not to matter." The materialists embracing immaterialism to transcend.

Radical autonomy is the logical endpoint of liberalism. It's the attempt to exist outside God's restraints. In practical terms it is the attempt to dissolve all relations (absolute freedom) and destroy all impediments.
The easiest way to identify a radical autonomist is that they usually espouse "equality" (anti-Supremacy) by asserting everything really means nothing. Your sex, religion, race, nation, ethnicity, sexual "orientiation," etc. means NOTHING.
This this the "psychological" path to radical autonomy.
Guys like CNu are seeking the "material" path.
Thordaddy, thank you for explaining the concept of radical autonomy. Coupling your definition with other comments you have made, it is interesting to think about psychological bondage being dressed up and sold to the masses under the guise of its complete opposite "absolute freedom".
