ANONYMOUS Question is: would HARPO and Madea support it with the same fervor if Lee Daniels demanded a white cast and would hollywood green light it?
DENMARK VESEY Question is: would HARPO and Madea support it with the same fervor if Lee Daniels demanded the film be made with a beautiful healthy cast of black actors telling the story of empowered self-affirming spiritually and intellectually functional black people ... and not would Hollywood (wealthy Jews) finance it ... BUT would wealthy "educated" blacks FINANCE it.
The answer is no. Why? Plantation Negros are afraid to self-affirm. They are more comfortable wallowing in the protective blanket of group-victim status. The Group-Victim meme is contagious and seductively attractive to people because it empowers you not based upon what you do, but based upon who you are.
Now that the "I'm Black" therefor I am automatically accorded victim status meme has all but died, Plantation Negros are finding themselves offered a new smorgasbord of Victim ID hats to wear. Gay, Fat and now Incest Victim are the new uniforms of the Victim Elite.
Hollywood releases 600 films per year.
Of those maybe 3 to 6 will be considered a "Black Film"
Half of those will be black the way that the Blind Side was black. (Black people were in it. But mere objects. The story was told from the eyes of a white woman).
1 or 2 of the other "Black Films" are Soul Plane or Madea Does Something Stupid With A Gun Big Black Faggot Wearing A Dress.
No Marcus Garvey
No Toussaint Louverture
No equivalents to the Historical Revisionist Jew Revenge Fantasies like Inglorious Basterds
But ... there is room ... for Precious. Hollywood writes, produces, directs, finances, distributes, and AWARDS a "black film" about a ridiculously obese rape, incest and child abuse victim ... who wins in the end despite being a ridiculously obese rape, incest and child abuse victim.
Why? They are marketing Group Identity. Ridiculously obese rape, incest and child abuse victims are exactly what the Eugenecists want to see. It is the ultimate Slow-Kill Weapon.

Pass round a PayPal Collection plate for a DV.net movie. The script is all here. Talk nice to UBM, Fish & II about helpin' out in their respective departments...; )
Good call & better question indeed. Question for you DV (Anon was me btw. forgot to sign the post), Spike ran out of $ during X and wealthy "educated" blacks financed it. Was that story non self affirming?
KP
KP,
Those who can't remember history will be doomed to repeat it! Most of the wealthy educated blacks have all been co-opted. BE VERY DISCRETE IN YOUR SELECTION of Financial HELP. I speak the truth, I pledged and did the greek thing. All Masonic and Occult and gay shit. Remember the domesticated 10%. Don't believe the hype....Spike was also co-opted. Steve Cokely Breaks down the History. How about that for Self affirming? We have always been playing on their Home Turf. View 1-3.
"Spike ran out of $ during X and wealthy "educated" blacks financed it. Was that story non self affirming?" KP
That's true KP. That's true.
That's a good example.
But it seems to stop there.
My Mom still/used to say "We (herself and 2 brothers) would listen to the radio all day just to hear a 'race record', then watch Amos n Andy because there were so few other black folk on T.V, and I remember when Michael Jackson's video premiered on MTV. He was the first black artist on that channel, he (Michael Jackson) was on MTV before Prince."
Self-affirming = accepting any shade of brown on a screen + support from wealthy black/white folk + an agenda to keep 'what ever status quo that is popular'
Art/Life = the objective of folks like Gordon Parks, Rebecca Primus, and Marcus Garvey to tell their truths and let you figure it out.
DV - Just for clarity bruh. I'm not out here looking to pump my lil ego with blog arguments or throwing out one exception to the rule with motive. When I ask questions I'm genuinely interested in picking brains and furthering the discussion.
At the end of the day, believe me, I feel your frustration.
KP
Finally something I hope we can all agree on.
Nah nah nah K.
Didn't take it like that. Not at all.
I really thought that was a good example.
I remember being very proud when that happened.
You succeeded in picking my brain. I've been actually been thinking about it since you mentioned it.
Damn good example of anti-Plantation Negrodom.
But Oprah ... from Malcolm ... to Precious?
All them Billions and that is the most empowering black film we can facilitate among ourselves?
Thank God for Hip Hop.
At least they bother to be clever.
Mahndisa hit it. That film is Poverty Porn.
