Anthropogenic Global Warming Hoax For Dummies & Plantation Negros

Avannavon said ...
It is so FASHIONABLE to be on this bandwagon that plodding along with both feet on terra firma seems, well, nerdish. Okay, I am a nerd. That's why I wanted to see the actual data and review it and look at the models and....guess what I found out? This whole thing is a HOAX of the same kind as The Population Bomb and the DDT Scare. Very popular. Very plausible. And....uh....incorrect?

A nominally proficient 7th grader can poke holes---big ones---in the Anthropogenic Global Warming hoax. Begin with the fact that the actual temperatures for more than a decade have been cooling, not warming.

Can you read a thermometer? Well, there's your first clue.

Next, all those melting glaciers? They aren't melting any more than they normally do. Instead, they aren't being replenished with new snow pack. There's a difference if you think about it --- increased melting infers warming, less snow infers cooling---(because of less evaporation and therefore less precipitation).

Next, all that flooding that is supposedly caused by global warming? Okay, fill a glass with water and ice. Mark the level of the water. Let the ice melt. What happens, seventh graders? NOTHING. Ice displaces water. So, sorry, no flooding caused by global warming melting the ice, either.

Next, those hotter temperatures in Africa supposedly caused by global warming? There's just one problem---there's colder night time temperatures being recorded, too. Say what? Global warming demands increased day time AND increased night time temperatures, BOTH, so again, global warming is not what is observed. Again, we are seeing the effects expected from a decreased amount of atmospheric water vapor---consistent with global COOLING.

Just based on fundamental empirical facts of science that anyone can test out for themselves, I have debunked "global warming". Go figure. Either "up" is really "down" and "dry" is really "wet" and "day" is really "night, too, global warming is a politicized scientific hoax---that Mojo is supporting.

"Believing" in global warming is like "believing" in gay marriage - you are considered unsophisticated if you don't subscribe to it hook, line and sinker. Two years ago, global warming was a fringe issue confined to Pacifica Radio listeners. Then, the day after Obama got elected, it became mandatory consensus. Out here in L.A., not questioning global warming is like questioning Israel or gay marriage - you can lose your job/way of making a living.

You knew this meme was bust when all its proponents were ALSO open-border zealots. Surest way to curb instant CO2 growth is a stop in global migration. But instead, these radical autonomists speak out both sides of their mouths and seek to cut OUR production (decrease CO2) WHILE INCREASING THE PRODUCTION (increase CO2) of the other. Add the extra CO2 from actual migration and this thing is nothing but a "capitalist" redistribution scheme.

Im not the professor here Dv university....but Im ready for a different class. Global warming and vaccines...got it.

Thordaddy,

What scientific proof do you have that global migration is the major reason for increase in carbon levels? Why global migration and not something like fossil fuel consumption or industrial processes that produce nitrous oxide? Based on the evidence I've read, I figured these were the major reasons why China and the US had such high CO2 emissions, but if you have evidence contradicting this, please post a link.

Could you also cite who the biggest travellers are - I'm assuming it's not just global migrants but all kinds of travellers pushing up CO2 emissions. And also it's not just travellers but goods and raw materials being moved on carbon-emitting ships and planes so could you also tell me which way those goods move - where are the markets demanding these goods and why?

Thank you.

And one more thing, I guess if you have substantial evidence to support your claims then Copenhagen should be focussing on migration issues not making silly committments to cut emissions and Climate Research Centres around the world should be closed down. Even the global warming skeptics should pipe down about the earth being 1000 times warmer in past climatological ages. All scientific evidence is irrelevant since it's all down to catastrophic global migration...Interesting.

Thordaddy said...

Konwomyn,

There's no scientific proof needed when commonsense will do. The main push is for us Americans, British and Australians to cut our CO2 output. Simply put, this means cut our production and consumption. Now, at the same time these countries are under a perpetual assault to increase their immigration largely under the meme that it will grow the economy. Growing the economy is equal to increasing production and consumption, i.e., increasing CO2.

So it's not JUST the migration that creates an EXTRA increase in global CO2 that wouldn't be there without the migration, but also an increase in the production and consumption of Third World immigrants coming to a First World economy to increase their standard of living. This additional increase in CO2 will, if these CO2 emission cuts are mandated, require Americans, British and Australians to take an even greater reduction in their standard of living to offset the immigrant's increase in CO2 output.

Thordaddy,

I actually hoped you were just messing abt or this was code in radical autonomy-speak. But this is straight xenophobia. Most hatred of foreigners is constructed on delusional fears that foreigners are coming to steal local jobs now that's expanded to global warming.

Global warming's such a buzz word it'll even do for the 'blame it on the immigrant' routine. I had no idea xenophobia had reached this level of utter nonsense. It takes an incredibly closed mind to pimp this nonsense as commonsense.

If you're doing some Fisher/Johnathan comedy routine, aight you punk'd me. If not, then you're not to be taken seriously. As the saying goes round here: CRACK A BOOK!

Kaaay Duuuuub / TD ...

Participation in the meme that CO2 emissions are at all ... "dangerous" ... is a Malthusian booby trap.

Listen to my man Chritopher Monckton:

"direct measurements by several different methods in recent months, published in the peer-reviewed literature, have confirmed my own theoretical and empirical determination, published more than a year ago, that the warming effect of CO2 is minuscule, harmless, and generally beneficial, and that the UN's climate panel has overstated it between threefold and sixfold.

To conclude, let us assume that the UN's central climate sensitivity estimate is right. In that event, warming (at climatic equilibrium) of 4.7 times the Naperian logarithm of the proportionate increase in CO2 concentration is fancifully predicted to occur. Let us also assume that all of the 2 ppmv/year increase in CO2 concentration that has occurred at a linear rate over the past decade is attributable to the enterprises and industries of humankind.

Armed with this information, plus the news that today's concentration of CO2 is approximately 388 ppmv, let us calculate just how much of a global temperature increase we can forestall if we shut down the entire world economy, overnight, sweeping all cars, trains, and planes off the planet, and flinging the entire working population out of a job, reducing the economy to the Stone Age but without the right even to light a carbon-emitting fire in our caves.

How much warming would a whole year of this economic self-immolation forestall? Here is the answer –

ΔTglobal = 4.7 ln(390/388) = 0.024 C/year.

Yes, for each year that we shut down the entire economy, we shall prevent less than one-fortieth of a Celsius degree. We'd need to run a pre-Stone-Age economy, with incalculable loss of life and horrendous consequential environmental damage, for 41 years just to prevent 1 C of "global warming".

And that's if the UN is right about the warming effect of CO2. But suppose – as most learned papers on climate sensitivity now conclude – that the UN has exaggerated around fivefold. Make that 200 years of zero carbon emissions, and all just to prevent 1 C of warming. Once you understand that this calculation is robust, you will realize how extravagantly pointless the present Copenhagen conference is.

It would be orders of magnitude cheaper and more cost-effective to adapt to climate change (in whatever direction it occurs, and regardless of the very limited extent to which humanity is responsible) than to attempt to mitigate it by allowing an unelected, Communistic world government to control all formerly-free markets, to tax the West to extinction, and to interfere directly in the economic as well as environmental affairs of all nations. This is not mere rodomontade. If you think it is, I have three words for you.

Read. The. Treaty"

Kaaaay Duuuub ...

As a kid I'd spend the summers with my grandmother uncles aunts and cousins in E. Baltimore MD.

Around this time the first wave of Koreans were arriving in the city and buying up corner bodegas.

I remember there was one store on the corner of the 1800 block of E. Biddle Street run by a man the entire neighborhood called "Brother Jesse".

Brother Jesse was a black Muslim. He was extremely dignified and sober with a vengeance. I remember that he wore a white jacket when he worked like you see physicians wear today. Unlike the other stores in the area Brother Jesse refused to sell any pork products. No pigs feet in jars. No pork rinds by the cash register. No ham sandwiches in the deli.

Also what I remember about Brother Jesse is that when he caught kids stealing, no matter what, he would never call the police.

He would tell their parents. I remember hearing him tell Big Momma (My great-grandmother) that he 'would never call the police on his own people').

I came back to Baltimore when I was a little older to discover Brother Jesse had died and his bodega was now run by Koreans behind bullet proof glass.

They were quiet, distant, withdrawn and seemingly afraid. There were pork rinds by the register and pigs feet in jars on the counter.

I remember feeling sorry for them because of the way the people in the neighborhood, including my cousins, treated them with contempt.

I even heard mumblings about "dem fuckin' KowReans coming over here taking our jobs ... and getting loans "dey" (I'm assuming the Plantation) won't give us."

Is all resistance to immigration mindless xenophobia? Or is some of it a rational response to competition for resources?

If TD and 30,000 of his cousins showed up in Harare and started hanging outside the local equivalent of Home Depot ... undercutting the local labor costs ... how would they be received?

TD's cousin Jethro might meet the business end of a machete right?

KonWomyn said...

What's good DV,

I know you trying to be the voice of reason and all that. Thank you. I'll read through the other comment you posted, jst now. Interesting story and thanks for sharing. Sure we've had immigrants from all over coming to Zimbabwe; most recently being the Congolese, Nigerians and Chinese.

"If TD and 30,000 of his cousins showed up in Harare and started hanging outside the local equivalent of Home Depot ... undercutting the local labor costs ... how would they be received?"

They already showed up +100 years ago look where we are now.
And if they did it again:
"TD's cousin Jethro might meet the business end of a machete"
True, if he was trying to take some natural resource that wasn't his.

Historically plenty Malawians, Zambians and Mozambicans have come to work in the country for lower wages on farms and in factories and this has been the cause of some tension but its been minimal, nothing as big as in some other countries. If TD and his 30000 peops showed up wanting to take over the means of production is a different story.

That's what the Koreans did when they bought up the businesses in East Baltimore. And as your Koreans were filling up Brother J's store with pork, some of the Chinese are buying up corner shops and flooding them with cheap reject goods.

There's been tension btwn the Chinese and locals because they push reject goods and even this tension is not even on the same level as with the farmers. Why? History. Xenophobia's not just about competition for limited resources but it's got to do with longtime history of hatred of the Other; whether its tribal or racial. Somebody's always gotta be the Other.

In the case of global warming: sticking this on working class immigrants is the meme of the Other at play while the Self refuses to acknowledge that US industry is the biggest culprit along with China - note that China doesn't have an "immigration problem" I guess a Malthusianist would call it a 'people problem'.

Yet another Plantation Myth playing on people's fears and further create animosity btwn people - whether global warming is as serious as they predict this a sure-fire way for right wing nuts to remain a relevant voice for the overly-nationalistic.

Denmark Vesey said...

I feel you Kay.

TD's cousins damn sure did show up a century ago. And they did more than "compete" for resources. They murdered killed and manipulated for those resources.

That's why Mugabe is my man to this day. He got the land back. Everything else is talk.

I find the duplicity in the "anti-immigration" movement elsewhere. I don't consider it simply "xenophobia".

I consider it down right warfare.

Meaning, for Americans to manipulate and fuck up the economy of Mexico... To destroy the Mexican farm industry... To export corn ... to a former corn producing country ... and then be surprised, defensive and hostile when thousands of former corn farmers spill across the boarders looking for landscaping jobs is not mere xenophobia.

It's devilish. It's anti-Christian.

Oh, and "Jethro" had me rolling.

You cats are mixing apples with oranges. This isn't about global warming skeptics and closed borders. THIS IS ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING ALARMISTS AND THEIR OPEN BORDERS ZEALOTRY.

You CAN'T tell us out the one side of your mouth that we're on the brink of apocolypse AND MUST CUT OUR CO2 PRODUCTION and then out of the other side of your mouth you WORK FEVERISHLY TO INCREASE THE CO2 OUTPUT OF the other.

If the apocolypse is coming then why are the zealots STRIVING TO INCREASE THE CO2 production of Third World immigrants?

Simply put, the SUREST AND MOST GUARANTEED WAY TO STOP INCREASED CO2 is stop immigration. Simple, easy and COST-free.

Denmark Vesey said...

Run that past me again TD.

I aint get that one bra ...

1) Forcing Mexicans to stay in Mexico after we have ruined their industries with subsidized American exports ... reduces carbon emissions how?

2) If the entire world economy was shut down for 41 years ... it would only reduce the temperature of Earth 1 degree celcius.

How does prohibiting immigration across abstract borders reduce global temperatures?

Thordaddy said...

DV,

The assertions are simple. We are heading towards apocolypse unless we drastically cut our CO2 emissions, i.e., we REDUCE OUR production and consumption.

Now, how does the global warming alarmist square that with his/her almost certain stance of open borders?

If the push for open borders by the zealots isn't to increase the production and consumption of the immigrant, i.e., increase his CO2 output, then what is the motivation?

It's foolish to act as though these things aren't working in concert. If you want to lower your CO2 in order for someone "less fortunate" the opportunity to increase their CO2 then WHY think the rest of us need be in on your charity?

Denmark Vesey said...

TD,

In order to appreciate the value of anything, you need to compare it to its alternative.

If you do not allow that 30 year old Mexican man with a family to feed to immigrate and meet the demand for his labor ... what will happen to him?

What is the cost associated with that consequence?

Big Man said...

Future immigrants produce and consume before they come to America. Often, they work in factories that produce more pollution and emissions and all that jazz because other countries don't have the same regulations as this country.

I think you can deal with the illegal immigration issue and the issue of smarter consumption of natural resources. At the same time.

KonWomyn said...

Thordaddy
Here's two more comparitives for you:

What is the the production and consumption of a Mexican immigrant versus the production and consumption of an American-born citizen.

What is the production and consumption of 40 million foreign-born immigrants versus the production and consumption of +240 million American-born Americans?

KonWomyn said...

Big Man said:

"Often, they work in factories that produce more pollution and emissions and all that jazz because other countries don't have the same regulations as this country."

But who owns these factories? Who takes advantage of these relaxed regulations or bribes officials to flout the rules e.g Shell Nigeria. And who dumps their toxic waste on poorer countries but turns around and says there's too many Somalis and Ghanaians in the US.

Thordaddy said...

You folks are too focused on the immigrant. That cat has been running back and forth across the border for the better of 40+ years. The flow of immigrants to America is unprecendented in history.

The real question is for the GLOBAL WARMING/OPEN BORDERS ZEALOTS.

How do they square that belief?

How do they mandate CO2 reduction in Americans (lower one's standard of living) while advocating a CO2 increase for the immigrants (raise one's standard of living)?

This is straight radical autonomy working to serve one's own purpose.

Denmark Vesey said...

TD ... you seem concerned with demonstrating the incompatibility of a belief in "Global Warming" and an affinity for immigrants.

OK ....

Isn't the nonsense of "Global Warming", the corresponding loss of national sovereignty and the wholesale mindfuck perpetrated upon the world the more relevant issue?

Thordaddy said...

DV,

The point was that the global warming apocolypse meme was a bust right from the beginning JUST FOR THE SIMPLE FACT THAT ITS MOST ZEALOUS ADVOCATES ARE OPEN BORDER FANATICS. The "science" was always irrelevant.

DMG,

Down for the mandated vaccine...

And this nigel still think he can call himself a US Marine...

You're an autonomous machine playing force protection for the Big Man like you his lil' vageen.

Thordaddy said...

DV,

The global warming apocolypse meme runs hand and hand with open borders zealotry. Both serve as methods of redistribution of capital. But in this instant they lay each other bare. They expose each other for exactly what they really are and that is just capital theft, a skimming off the top and a kick down of some crumbs to the up-n-comers.

You no more need to hate an immigrant in order to protest your mandated anti-capitalization than you need to hate bananas in order to learn how to blog.

But...they...are...not.

So, fill a glass with water and ice such that the ice is sticking out over the top of the glass. Pile the ice on as high as you can. Then let it melt.

Then grab those Bounty paper towels and clean up the spill.
