Remember Where You Heard It First

Hoax? Really?

Then why are my colleagues around the country taking care of patients who are actively trying to die from severe respiratory failure from this "hoax"?

Oh, can't wait to hear your "food supplement" explanation.

Your colleagues? Your colleagues?

Come on Doc. No offense. But that's like a cashier at MacDonald's saying, if Genetically Modified Food is bad for you, why are his colleagues all over the country serving it?

They serve what their employer tells them to serve. Your colleagues prescribe (serve) what they are told to prescribe (serve). They diagnose what they are told to diagnose. Medical doctors are not exactly a group of independent thinkers DMG. This is 2009 Doc. Not 1969. Medical Doctors don't have the same credibility they once had.

Your "colleagues" are the same people who prescribe dangerous Statin drugs and Viox that has killed thousands. According to Dr. Barbara Starfield in an article written in the Journal of the American Medical Association, doctor mistakes are responsible for over 250,000 deaths in this country per year.

That's 3 times more than H1N1 is supposed to kill. Instead of forced mass vaccinations with dangerous untested "vaccines", we can save more Americans by just skipping doctor visits.

But here's the deal Doc. Later for all that. I'll lay my cards flat. I aint no doctor. I don't even play one on TV. But I submit that I know more about staying healthy than you do. I know more about eating well to prevent disease. I could give better advice to anyone with a health issue than you are equipped to do. From Athletes Foot to Cancer I'll lay my prognosis against yours any day of the week.

Test me. Someone submit a health issue. If Doc's advice is determined more valuable than mine, I'll shut up on this issue of vaccines and Plantation medicine and concede the orthodox medical system knows best and holistic natural healing remedies are quackery.

How many people die from illness each year -
and how many die from the "cures"?

Wouldn't it be better if we were healthier and less reliant on medicine to become so?
Is our health care system as efficient as it could be?

20+ yrs of working as a professional Registered Nurse and I have yet to see anyone cured. Modern medicine is commensurate to welfare...once you are connected with the system it is extremely difficult to break free. One diagnosis leads to another and another...more prescribed medications which lead to more diagnosis.
Preventive care is laughed at by most MD's and other healthcare professionals...if we live healthier lives they live less affluent ones. Check mate...

Mother in law in coma, inoperable brian hemorrage caused by massive stroke. Removed off life support last week. She is still alive but is waning every day. The plantation docs cannot do a damned thing for her. What would you do for her DV?

Denmark Vesey said...

Hey M.,

I would surround her with as many children and grand children as possible.

I would not sacrifice her dignity to the medical establishment by allowing them to subject her to useless treatments and chemicals that don't heal but simply placate patients and family with numbed hope.

I would celebrate her life more than mourn the inevitability of her death.

I would use the occasion of her passing to relay to her surviving family members the importance of avoiding the things that cause strokes.

I would seek commitment from each family member not to let your mother in law's life to have been in vain, by collectively determining we are not going to let this happen to anyone else in the family, and make adjustments in our diets and lifestyles to achieve that goal.

What are the Plantation Docs advocating?

Firsit off...my goatee looks better...and surgeons don't carry their stethoscopes around their necks...but you there are only so many pictures you can work with, but I digress.

I can't fault you for your utter and complete ignorance of this subject. Maybe we should blame it on the school system? If you are so dense as to believe that this is a hoax...then I invite you to spend your days in crowded places inhaling every cough and sneeze you can. You aren't worthy of debate on this subject, when my colleagues and I are spending sleepless nights saving the lives of the ungrateful...again, nobody is forcing you to get a vaccination. Please don't. Hell, don't wash your hands either, I don't care.

And you do not no anything about staying healthy. I submit that I am at least as healthy if not more so than you, and I don't pay $16.99/lbs for metallic tasting salt. You've proven in every conversation that all you have is bluster. It's easy to make inane comments such as this, "...I could give better advice to anyone with a health issue than you are equipped to do. From Athletes Foot to Cancer I'll lay my prognosis against yours any day of the week." when I have consistently left you blubbering and speechless after easily pointing out the many fallacies you offer on a daily basis. But since this is your spot, you are allowed to spew as much garbage as you choose. But, hey, I can't stay long, my pager is going off. Stop playing like you know what the fuck you are talking about, seriously brother, you must have some inflated ego to not be embarrassed by some of the things you say. And I've tested you many times...check the archives Bozo.

DV: She is with my neice who is doing a 24/7 vigil AT HER SIDE and will not leave. Family visits her every day. I just got back. The doctors were remarkably sympathetic and conscious of differing philosophies on the subject. They did not advocate anything that was against the family's wishes, which are based upon her wishes. So she hasn't been fed or hydrated for almost ten days now, since they removed the life support and she is slowly but surely dying before our eyes. She now has a 105 degree fever and her organs are shutting down. End of life type shit is a real bitch. The PROCESS of letting go brings up many issues that I dare not broach here.

Suffice it to say, what you are saying makes sense to the degree that preventative care should be pushed more nowadays. But apparently you do not know of any natural cure for this issue.

I have half a mind to investigate how THC oil affects stroke victims because they've shown that it helps cancer victims (anecdotal evidence) as well as dementia patients. But I suspect it is too late to try that on her. The doctors said that even if we wanted to feed her or give her an IV drip that it would likely worsen her condition because her body cannot absorb the water or nutrients now.

They are doing comfort care which means putting these suckers in her mouth to help with dehydration and giving her morphine when she reacts during bed turning. It is fucked up to see someone so bad off that death is the only certain result.

She is a great woman and will be missed. Her life will be celebrated, but what's screwy is that we are waiting for her to die now.

Mahndisa,

I'm going to put all past animosity aside for a moment, my condolences to you and your family. My mother had a hemorrhagic stroke a few years back after letting her blood pressure get out of control (wanted to try "natural" cures). She's since made the choice to follow conventional medical advice and is doing much better, the only evidence is slight left sided weakness. I advocate prevention too, just don't agree with our hosts methods. I hope you all are celebrating her life. Peace to you and yours.

DMG, I actually had swine flu when it first came out and even though it was a long time ago, I feel like every time I get a cough ever since then my respiratory issue comes back. It's never as bad as when I had the flu but I feel like it left me with less air or something. Have you heard anything about that???

DMG said...

Pink,

Sounds more like you are describing bronchitis or asthma. Doubtful that you have lasting effects from H1N1. I would get checked out.

The Doc might want to send you to someone who is only going to make it worse.

Only 2 things you can do.

Protect and build.

"In general the immune system consists of three things that continually circulate through the body and monitor every cell.. And the three are

1. Specialized blood cells, called lymphocytes or white cells
2. Specialized proteins called antibodies
3. Nerve communication

This constant monitoring of your cells is going on every second, 24 hours a day, all through the body. In the healthy immune system, the identification of something foreign triggers an attack. The attack usually takes the form of inflammation, swelling, or heat. If the attack turns into a battle, it may become an infection. These are normal physical responses and will be effective if left alone, in the vast majority of cases. They do not usually require drugs, surgery, or any freaking out. If the body's own defenses are allowed to do their job and to win, not only will the patient recover with no side effects, but more important, he will have built stronger resistance for the future.

What helps the immune system? Only two things: protecting it and building it.

Protecting and building. Not stimulating. Certain drugs may stimulate the immune system, but it's short-term and always involves side effects.

The first consideration in protecting the immune system is to stop destroying it with:

smoking
alcohol
prescription drugs
processed foods
dairy products
sugar
radiation
toxins
stress"

I get wayyyy more sunshine than most people (I'm addicted to laying in the sun in the summer) but I could DEFINITELY benefit from a detox. DMG I have a doctor's appt on Tuesday. I just HATE going to the doctor that's why I try to get info from you! I dont think it's asthma because it only happens when I'm sick, not when I go running or play tennis.

DMG said...

Pink,

No. No. NOOOOOO. My dear, have you learned nothing since I've been here? Do you have a functioning liver, kidney, and gut? Do NOT do any of those detox things. They are scams. They are not based on science.

Go to your doctor, get examined. I can't diagnose you over the internet. Anybody who says they can is yanking your chain.
