This is a far more racial incident than Gates' arrest.
So, why does the racial aspect garner far less coverage and scrutiny? Why no Presidential beer summit over this? Is the media afraid to talk about the racist empowerment of black men at the expense of white men in this country? But only comfortable in painting black men as victims of racism?

Affirmative Action was created to deal with discrimination, not racism. The program was poorly constructed and implemented, but it was an effort to deal with systemic discrimination faced by minorities.
My personal experience is that white people deeply resent affirmative action, and from what I've gathered, they have resented it for decades. Moreso, several studies done during that time showed that the majority of white people, over 60 percent, believed that minorities, particularly blacks, had just as much access to jobs and quality education as a white person and did not need special programs to foster access. So yes, white people were complaining.
Finally, if white people don't produce the segments on 60 minutes, who actually produces them?

I don't think the people who created Affirmative Action did it with the intentions of ever creating equality of eradicating discrimination. The way it was implemented was crappy. The quota systems and all that jazz were crap. The way black folks had to be ostracized and labeled to get equal access was crap.
But, the truth was, black folks were being denied opportunities because of their skin color and Affirmative Action was touted as a way to rectify that problem.
And it was met with extreme resistance by white folks who felt like they were the real victims and within a few years were talking about "reverse racism."
