I think Mahndisa and Pink, et al. have Michael all wrong. Folks' unsolicited opinions are the very reason Mike turned his back on the world as we know it. Think about it. He kept his entire life private, painfully so, and to me repeatedly gave the finger to prying eyes, greedy folks, money hungry women, lying cheatin welfare moms, predatory execs in the music industry, broke lazy siblings, jealous abusive fathers and the like.
To me, Michael Jackson was strangely strong.
I agree with DV that there was something about Michael, something intangible, that couldnt have been any more contrary to him being a pedophile. Further, the line about settling lawsuits shows 1) you've likely never been sued and 2) you got WAYYYYY less money than Michael Jackson.
Shit, I dont even think Michael was gay. If you think about it, Michael had a chick somehwhere around most of the time. From Brooke Shields, to Laura Engles, to Marcia Brady, to Lisa Marie Presley to Debbie Rowe.
Bottom line, Michael Jackson was the greatest entertainer to have lived in my time. I am said that he's gone.
As to my legal history, well I have had legal issues before as a matter of fact. And frankly, I would never settle on anything if it was a matter of my moral character on the line! Yet and still, I don't know for certain if he molested those boys but his behavior was complicated by secrecy, outright obfuscations of the truth and bizarre antics.
He was a victim of the plantation and still changed the world. I miss him too but I won't lie about my suspicions either.
When an old relative died a few years back, some people tried to front like they cared about the old relative. Others said this:"Ding dong the witch is dead. She was an asshole..." I prefer not to sugarcoat my perspective

sooooo sad :( can't even think of my favorite song because he had so many great ones.
"The greatest entertainer the world has ever known"--DV
Which is a polite way of saying that the poor dude never had any control of his own destiny.
That's a good reason to die at 50.
Why would this creative genius and very skinny man have a cardiac arrest at age 50?
It does not appear to be a genetic issue like Arthur Ashe.
Was it plantation medicine induced? Was it alternative medicine or chemicals?
Did the brother just let himself go physically under enormous stress?
Fisher,
In the GSWS, why are all the "kings" black?
"Which is a polite way of saying that the poor dude never had any control of his own destiny." TD
Who does?
"Was it alternative medicine or chemicals?"
Uh, you do realize the dude was 50% petrochemicals?
He may have developed some infections due to all those repeated plastic surgeries. That's what happens when you give Nature the finger over and over..
He was truly talented and disturbed. I am sad that he died, but in the afterlife, maybe he can shed himself of the pain, confusion and suffering he experienced. RIP.
Mahndisa,
Very, very well said. I hope he was at peace in the end.
DV,
It's hard to say whether any of us really has control of our own destiny, but when you KNOW you don't then you start talking about making an early exit.
If some people just want to die, should we pay them respect?
^ You don't pay them respect for dying, you pay respect for their having lived.
can't believe it
"You don't pay them respect for dying, you pay respect for their having lived."
Nice
I don't know Mahndisa.
Was Michael any more disturbed than any of us?
I'm not sure who could pass the microscope test.
Um DV:
Now you are just playing the fool. Seriously he was disturbed and it was written all over him. Sure all of us have issues, but his were such that they effectively crippled his judgment centers.
He claimed he had only a couple of nose surgeries, then word got out that he had received 48 different surgeries on his nose! His behavior was erratic and eccentric. I think it is fine to be yourself and non conformist, but not when it puts your reputation at stake. Why the hell would a twenty something then thirty something then forty something year old man want to kick it with little boys, without their parents around?
Like I said, we cannot ever debate his musical talent. He had me rockin from the time I was born to the time that he died. Literally. But we cannot turn our backs on the truth, however unpleasant it may be.
Although he was never convicted of child molestation, settling out of court on such charges points to a guilty conscience in some capacity.
And you have a point, very few of us, if any could pass the microscope test. But I assure you he failed it many many years ago.
RIP.
I feel you Mahndi,
But let's shifts perspectives.
48 nose surgeries does seem strange to me.
The hidden babies with the surrogate wives.
Walking around with a monkey.
Sleep overs. But I don't think Michael ever touched any of those boys.
He didn't have that sick look in his eye.
I've always been conscious of the Love / Hate relationship the world has had with Michael.
At one time Michael Jackson was as loved around the world as a cat like Jesus was loved during his time.
There was also a time when Michael was publicly crucified, like Jesus was during his time.
I see the parallel as a human nature metaphor. Seems like the ones who love you the most inevitably turn on you.
I wonder if suicide is a possibility here?
Can't you get cardiac arrest from a bottle of pills?
I loved Michael but I have to agree with Mahndisa. Any non-molester who was accused of molesting children would stop spending so much time with young boys who were of no relation to him. Even after the accusations he continued these inappropriate "friendships". Child molestation is a compulsion, they can't stop themselves. His behavior seemed more in line with a molester than someone who is not inappropriate with children. If he did not actually molest those children, I would guess that he wanted to.
Lawd only knows what they're gonna find now in his closet in Neverland... uh oh..
Still hard to process it, I am still shocked!! He has left a great impact that our kids, kids, kids, kids and beyond will know. Remember the Filipino Prison, Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center? The prison guards made 1,500 prisoners do the Thriller dance?
Damn, I don't think it really hit me until I saw these pictures. Feeling the eyes gettin' tight rite 'bout now. Grew up watchin this dude, mayne.
We gon miss ya. DV, ya doin' requests? Embed "Man in the mirror" for a brother.
And keep the drinks comin'.
MJ,
Lots of tears here in Motown...
BAD BOY

Ok RJ, you're entitled to your opinion. And I was rockin to Beat It and Thriller earlier today to be honest. I don't take away from his genius that would be foolish. But I will say that his judgment was off and that he put himself in positions that were untenable.

If Mike never called a certain group of people leeches, he 'd be alive today.
"If Mike never called a certain group of people leeches, he 'd be alive today."
oh shit
"If Mike never called a certain group of people leeches, he 'd be alive today."
Same thing happened to Jesus. His mission in this world was to expose and free the world from these fork-tongued, venomous vipers, and he paid the ultimate price for it.
Still, nobody gets this today. In fact, his own followers are the biggest protectors of these vipers today.
Looks like an addiction to plastic surgery & plantation meds resulted in a slow "suicide":
Michael Jackson's family lawyer today blamed his sudden death on his inner circle pushing him too hard in the run-up to a series of comeback gigs in Britain.
Brian Oxman, who was with the Jacksons in Los Angeles overnight, revealed the 50-year-old singer had been taking drugs for months in his battle to be fit for the string of concerts next month.
There is growing speculation today that the catastrophic cardiac arrest was triggered by an injection of the painkiller Demerol after rehearsals in his home town.
An autopsy will be held in Los Angeles today but those close to the star believe it is an addiction to prescription drugs as he prepared for the gigs in London that killed him.
But his use of medications had become in the way and injuries he had sustained performing had got in the way.'
Former producer and friend Tarak Ben Ammar echoed fears of drug abuse, claiming Jackson had been a hypchondriac who had been taken advantage of 'charlatan doctors'.
'It’s clear that the criminals in this affair are the doctors who treated him throughout his career, who destroyed his face, who gave him medicine to ease his pain,'
'He had been so frail, both physically and emotionally,' the acquaintance said. 'Many warned he was pushing too hard and overdoing things, but he wanted to get back to work so badly, he kept pushing himself harder and harder. He didn't want to let down his fans, and he desperately needed the cash.'
Gossip sites were today awash with claims the singer had been injected with Demerol after returning from rehearsals just before he collapsed.
One quoted a hospital source as saying: 'Shortly after taking the Demerol, he started to experience slow, shallow breathing. His breathing gradually got slower and slower until it stopped. His staff started mouth-to-mouth and an ambulance was called. He never regained consciousness.'
Sources close to the Jackson family had recently told the Daily Mail how the singer was hooked on painkillers and that they had taken over his life. One side effect of their abuse is a heart attack.
Jackson had apparently been 'doped up to his eyes' for several weeks with various anti-pain prescriptions including Vicodin.
A source close to his family said: 'It's so tragic but he was such a wreck physically that all the signs were there. His back had completely given in and he was in so much pain, his life was slipping away for so long. At least he is now at peace.'
I cosign "the leeches"
My mom is from Gary, Indiana. She and my aunt & uncle used to pay a few dollars to watch Mike and his siblings perform in a basement (sitting on hard folding chairs, some pulled up some floor)along with countless other ppl in the community from time to time.
He's The G.O.A.T.
Regardless of any opinion or speculation about him, the most high spent a lil more time with this man's soul. So much so even the harshest critic can't deny the joy he brought to them and the world.
I was good yesterday but its really sinking in now.
REST brother MJ, REST.
