Yeah Mike. I hear you. Little vague categorical generalizations implying "rappers are gay" has been your steelo for a minute. We've heard the story before. You walked in on a couple of rappers ... blowing each other in a recording studio one night ... back in the day when you were inventing hip hop /promoting concerts for Public Enemy or something like that.

But who you talking about man? Chuck D? Nah. Biggie? Nah. Tupac? Nah. Nas? Nah. Jay-Z? Nah. Who you "walk in on" Mike? I mean, you champion the homo indictment of "rappers" like it's a personal cause. But you offer no more evidence than a wink, wink. How could you know?

Look. Are you suggesting this non-entity you call "rappers" demonstrates anymore propensity for homosexual behavior than the general population? Are "rappers" any more prone to be gay than concert promoters, currency traders, attorneys or Yale graduates?

Come on Mike. You just playin' that ol' Negro game of speculative gossip - projecting WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE. That's weak bra. How you going to go from your brilliant dissertation on Obama to playing Wendy Williams?

No you did not. That's just gratuitous. You wouldn't have a problem if it was 3 women I bet. Somehow you feel threatened by the expression of male on male sexuality but I didn't see your comments from yesterday mentioning lesbians. I'd like to see you use a photo that was an expression of affection instead of something that is hyper-sexualized and possibly pornographic. And it's funny because that oft used quote in Leviticus as proof of damnation only mentions men. So..either it's ok for women...or they just don't count which to me is rather suspect. But that's another topic. You obviously feel uncomfortable with male homosexuality and should just state it as such. Some white people will always feel uneasy around blacks no matter what. Deal with it. God might send someone close to you in your life to teach you the true meaning of unconditional love.

With all that preaching and self-righteousness faith, I didn't hear you say that the photo isn't nasty. LOL!

Michael Fisher said...

"That's just gratuitous. You wouldn't have a problem if it was 3 women I bet."

I wouldn't. If the women were fine and I was in the middle of it (in real life and not photographed).

Besides, I never understood what women see in men sexually. I'm glad they do, but understand it I don't. I swear if I were born a woman I'd be a stone cold lesbian.

Anonymous said...

I said it was gratuitous. Over the top. A one-sided image. Lustful. Not Loving. I am not turned on by the sight of 3 men grabbing at each other as it is too aggressive but I have watched gay male porn and enjoyed it. So there! If I was a man who was aroused by the image of men kissing then I might very well love that ad. Or not because perhaps these men would not be my cup of tea. Maybe if they were all men of color with different features I'd be drooling over it. It's not the act that is unappealing it's the presentation. And I'm not the one being self-righteous. I responded to a comment and Denmark decided to make that a focus. And my point is that many people have intolerant attitudes towards many people for many reasons and it is still wrong.

"There is no such thing as "Gay" people. There is only people. We are not our sexual impulses."

There is no such thing as pimps, hoes, gansta's, jews, rich and poor either I guess... There is only people. We are not defined by how we earn a living. Or how much money we have. We are all just people created by GOD. The same GOD that doesn't make no mistakes to paraphrase your own words.

Secondly, homosexuality and heterosexuality is 10% about sex. I am sure the vast majority of your hetero week is not a sex marathon if not 0% sex.

Lastly, where is all this Gay lobby literature, billboards, TV ads you speak of? What are the kids in Belair exposed to more individually(I have some stats for you from Media Week). Homosexual/Gay(people living their lives minding their business)ads or Burger King(diabetes), McDonalds(heart disease) or gansta rap music(gun violence) marketing/ads????

Once again DV... Will you withdraw your support for your prophet??

"Also on Thursday, Obama released a statement on the issue. "I do not agree with General Pace that homosexuality is immoral," the Illinois Democrat noted. "Attempts to divide people like this have consumed too much of our politics over the past six years."

http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.asp?Page=/Culture/archive/200703/CUL20070316a.html

So lets see... Obama doesn't agree with you about rap music, homosexuality... or Oprah. Maybe McCain is your man?

Faith,

Thou shalt not compare the black race to homosexuals. What's next, comparing us to lepers?
Sexual contact between men is nasty whether they are freaking each other of "loving" one another. It's been condemned, along with incest, since the beginning of time. Only in the last 30 years have we been conditioned to bow down to gays as a separate identity group. I have compassion for gays because that must be a living hell, but I don't want to see it and I don't want my children exposed to it while they are young.

Okay, DV, I'm seeing the experiment angle...and the results thereof.

Agree with Dina.

Does it make sense for someone to proclaim "no you didnt!" in response to something that is totally normal and within bounds? LOL.

Mike. Youre silly. But I'll never be mad at you for loving women.

Relax Casper, if you like it up the arse, no one is stopping you. If it's as normal as apple pie, then do your thing. But why do the rest of us need to wear your rainbow t-shirt?

This liberal nonsense about "tolerance" is code word for agreement. It means that you have to agree with everything everyone does or fear being labeled a bigot. That shit is getting worn and tired. Try a new tactic.

And, with all that double-speak shuffling you did in your follow-up Faith, let it be noted for the record that you still didn't deny the nastiness of the photo.

"Oh, if only it was more loving, it wouldn't be so one-sided". LOL!! You're hilarious!! :-)

I just had to pop in from lurkdom to add my two cents, which are similar to what has already been expressed here.

How can anyone look at such a photo of three growm men( two kissing) and not find it odd and repulsive?

Anonymous said...

Insurgent, I would say the "liberal nonsense" that you inveigh against is the direct result of the unbridled capitalist instinct that free market advocates like you advocate for. You can't have it both ways.

Your a married woman... I am sure a man or men in your past and future life has and will venture up your rear passage! Just like a Nelly tip drill! Maybe a little male organ in the mouth with a happy ending for good measure pleases you. I guess all that activity is normal and natural as long as it's between a man(even if he is on the Dl) and a woman or women (poligamist). And God knows if you a woman put on a strap-on for your hubby to catch that bat ... that's OK too. ?????

Sexual contact between men is nasty whether they are freaking each other of "loving" one another. It's been condemned, along with incest, since the beginning of time.

In Persia homosexuality and homoerotic expressions were tolerated in numerous public places, from monasteries and seminaries to taverns, military camps, bathhouses, and coffee houses. In the early Safavid era (1501–1723), male houses of prostitution (amrad khane) were legally recognized and paid taxes.

So I guess there was a well organized Gay Lobby back then too huh DV???? You intelligent? people tickle me. Now the preference is not not my cup of tea... But who am I or ya'll to JUDGE... GOD'S!! creations...

Anthropologists have found evidence that homosexuality was widely tolerated in many parts of pre-colonial Africa. For example, EE Evans-Pritchard reported that until the practice died out in the early 20th century, male Azande warriors in the northern Congo routinely married male youths who functioned as temporary wives.

In the new, democratic South Africa gay people want to believe their sexual orientation doesn't matter, said Smith. But to many it still does, so gay people find safety in numbers at places where they know they will be safe and accepted.

Last I checked II it wasn't a Gay man who fucked us all like this... And your all up in arms cause the passive men want to spread a little love versus fucking wars... 4000+ Troops dead... 20,000+ injured. 100,000+ Iraqis and Afghans dead.

The Congressional Budget Office is estimating the war will cost $1.7 trillion to $2.7 trillion and the Joint Economic Committee says it will cost $3.5 trillion.

According to an article in the Washington Post, Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz blames the economic recession on the war.

Stiglitz said that government spending on the Iraq war has caused the country to sink so far into debt that it has been unable to keep the domestic economy in check through tax cuts and other internal investments.

The national debt is now at $9.4 trillion and has continued to increase by an average of $1.67 billion per day since Sept. 29, 2006.

You people need to get your priorities in order. Sidetracked with bullshit distractions. Obama had it right. LISTEN to your prophet! DV & TSO

Look Cap. Even though I love women, I don't tongue any down in public. Residing in the ATL and there being some choice strip clubs out here, I occasionally partake, but I don't expose any kids to that stuff.

The problem I have with the gay culture is that there's too much public carousing going on.

I really don't give a shyt who does whom in the bedroom, but keep it in the bedroom.

Personally I think male-on male homosexuality is disgusting. But that's just my taste in things.

Now there certainly is a well organized gay lobby out there, and most of them are racist assholes (pun intended). As far as I'm concerned they already lost their legitimacy with me at the racist stage so that I don't even get to the question of whether they are legitimate on the gay/not gay tip.

As to DV and his love of gay (well, at least bi-sexual) male rappers. DV stop being in denial. Some of those heroes of yours are straight up homo thugs.

DV, I've promoted thousands of concerts and so many Hip Hop artists I've lost count. Beyond that I've been back stage at many other events and I've been to plenty of recording sessions. At many of these events the persons in question were high as a kite. I've seen what I've seen, And no, I'm not gonna name names and out people against their will.

Real is real, and the fact that a number of these heroes of yours are at least bi-sexual has nothing to do with Hip Hop, it has to do with the fact that they are bi-sexual or gay.

That's a fact, DV. Live with it or keep erecting that fantasy-world of yours.

Oh, and the last thing I "WANT TO SEE" is a grown ass black man sucking another man's dick and a white man's to boot.

Denmark Vesey said...

Mike, my hero is cruising the Nile as we speak. So I don't know who you are talking about.

As far as rappers. Stop playing Wendy Williams.

A number of ALL PEOPLE are homosexuals.

Including currency traders and Yale graduates.

Does that say anything about you?

Mike, I've been all around the world, I've been in recording studios, private jets, Kingston ghettos and Brazilian Favelas - I aint never walk in on two men boning each other.

So I ask again, what did you experience that compels you (through coy little innuendo) to indict artists like Big, and Jay and Tupac and Nas and any other rap icon - that you have a marginal relationship with at best?

What did you see that compels you to trumpet the notion that "Rappers" are any more homo than anyone else?

I am sure there is a currency trader and a Yale graduate somewhere laid up with a dude as we speak.

Is it fair for someone to say "Mike Fisher is a currency trader ... and a Yale grad ... and you know ... I'm just sayin'."

That would be jive wouldn't it.

So why you being jive?

Michael Fisher said...

"Mike, I've been all around the world, I've been in recording studios, private jets, Kingston ghettos and Brazilian Favelas - I aint never walk in on two men boning each other.

Lucky you.

DV, first off you ain't nobody anyone knows in the industry. At least no one knows the guy in the pics you've displayed. Beyond that you're just an anonymous avatar.

Second, you don't know who I have a marginal relationship with or and who I don't. Again, 'cause you're not in the industry. And, to tell the truth, even if you were in the industry you likely would not know anything about it unless you traveled in certain circles. I preferred to staying in the background. My ex-partners were the ones out front.

Third, I haven't said anything about Hip Hop, and I haven't saifd that "rappers are more prone to be gay". I've said that certain of your Hip Hop Heroes are on the DL.

Lastly, and that's the most important thing, me thinks that you are too preoccupied with the homo thing. You bring it up every other day. Me thinketh you protesteh too much.

Now I'm not trying to insinuate that you have homosexual tendencies. Far from it. But I do not understand your, what I would term "morbid fascination", with homodom.

I'd suggest that you give it a rest and instead tell us more about your "global system of black supremacy".

Denmark Vesey said...

You sending my pic around Mike? LOL. Damn Homey. Ease up Kojak. It aint that deep.

"Again, 'cause you're not in the industry. And, to tell the truth, even if you were in the industry you likely would not know anything about it unless you traveled in certain circles." MF

"the industry" ... "certain circles".

Negro, you promoted rap concerts. Like 20 years ago. Give me a break with all that "industry" talk and "certain circles" nonsense.

You were riding on tour buses with Flavor Flav and Professor Grif. You try to make it sound like you were chairing meetings of the Bilderberg Group.

"me thinks that you are too preoccupied with the homo thing." MF

Oh ... come now "Telemaque". You need to go somewhere with that old canard.

Or must I remind you:

"I'm a boy, Exodus. I'm a boy. A black one, too. The second blackest one on Earth. Do I have to be a girl just because I think DV is brilliant and sexy?" MF / Telemaque

"I've said that certain of your Hip Hop Heroes are on the DL." MF

Mike, there is not 1 Hip Hop icon that I dig, that you had anything to do with. Despite the "circles" you think were so important.

That's like Barry Gordy claiming he knows something about Chris Brown because he used to work with Smokey Robinson.

Nah Mike. I don't buy that. I don't think "rappers" are anymore on the DL than Yale grads.

You should drop those categorical generalizations. Your past experience as a rap industry functionary does not qualify you to comment on the sex lives of men you don't know and whose art you don't understand.

It's not a good look.

-

Michael Fisher said...

"Negro, you promoted rap concerts. Like 20 years ago."

DV, I promoted my last shows in 2005.

Which once again shows that you ain't got a clue.

Unless...

Ok. "expert". Which major Hip Hop artists were promoted by me in 2003 in 5000 halls - 12,000 cap arenas? How many shows? Where?

As to Telemaque. You sure that was me? Got an IP address? Though me thinks that if Telemaque wasn't real it was a pretty good spoof of your unusual fascination with homodom.

"Your past experience as a rap industry functionary does not qualify you to comment on the sex lives of men you don't know and whose art you don't understand."

Art? Some yes, some no.

Those men's sex lives who I unfortunately seen suck a dick apparently have a sex live involving sucking a dick. So what?

Once again, DV. You are a FAN. If you were white you'd be a Britney Spears FAN or enthused about the Backstreet Boys reunion.

Don't believe all that hype out there. This shit that goes for Hip Hop these days is mostly bad theater.

Denmark Vesey said...
