Fiddy N De Niro: Ya Talkin' Ta Me? Ya Talkin' Ta Me?
NEW YORK -- Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro and Hip Hop mogul Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson have come together in an exclusive interview for VIBE magazine's special Hollywood Issue -- on newsstands Feb. 5th.
The two speak exclusively to VIBE about their roles in the upcoming movie Righteous Kill -- due in theaters this Fall. The acting duo share some behind-the-scene moments and discuss the new friendship shared between these two megastars.
In this month's cover story, De Niro grants a rare interview to Editor-in-Chief Danyel Smith. He discusses being a legendary Hollywood gangster, as well as his relationship with 50 Cent.
"Curtis, he's ... he's got incredible instincts," Mr. De Niro tells VIBE when asked what advice he would give to the superstar about acting. 50 Cent goes on to talk about his admiration for De Niro's work. "I grew up watching his movies ... One of my favorites was Goodfellas. I could watch that over and over."
The two star in Overture Films' Righteous Kill, alongside Al Pacino, as a pair of veteran New York City police detectives on the trail of a vigilante serial killer in this psychological thriller directed by Jon Avnet.

I'm just trying to understand how Curtis can keep up w/Deniro and Pacino from an acting standpoint.
He's going from JV to the league mighty quick. best of luck.
Product placement ?
KP,
That's what I've been trying to tell you cats. Curtis is one of the baddest actors in the game.
Rap is method acting. Both Stanislavski and Stella Adler would be awed at the thespian achievements of Tupac, Biggie, Jay and Fiddy.
The Wire is Hip Hop.
Given the right script, De Niro, Pacino or any of the Italian actors who play gangsters would have hell keeping up with the likes of Wood Harris (Avon Barksdale) or Jamie Hector (Marlo Stanfield) or even yes Curtis Jackson (50 Cent).
thats one part skip, the other is simply "butts in seats"/box office.
Wood is proven. no dispute there. Jamie has no thug in him yet his portrayal of Marlo will lead to one of the most memorable villains in TV history. no dipute there.
(modern) rap is def acting but its one role. range = skill. Curt was not picked because he was "good". at least give me that.
"Curt was not picked because he was "good" KP
No.
He's not just "good". He's great.
Name an actor who portrayed a role better than Curtis did on the track "Many Men".
That. Is. Acting. That. Is. Art.
Which is what the Rap Haters can't / won't understand when they get all caught up in nonsense about "real".
Really?
I thought it was injecting with steroids and hormones and acting out male fantasy stuff.
I thought he was just bumped up with Testosterone by some crooked doc.
I thought his whole thing was so fake as to be real as to make cash and talk trash.
Of course that's what you "thought" Skip.
You "think" whatever makes you most comfortable.
Besides, seems like Brother Curtis is doing better with GUnit than you are doing with Technocracy.
50% of the cats out of South Side Jamaica Queens are dead or in jail. This one beat the system for $100M. So far.
Fuck a Harold Ford Jr. I've got my sons peeping his game.
D.V. you sure can be petty about tangling up different unrelated ideas.
When things are measured in money gained really it is illusory.
If that is the Criteria Geo Bush is a genius at making money and killing people.
Think about that one.
measure by money?
You still don't understand Skip.
Money is how he keeps score in his game. He's winning his game, big time.
Now Skip, how do you keep score in the Technocracy game? Are you winning? Are you as successful with the "Technocracy Movement" (however you keep score) as this man is with "G Unit Records"?
D.V. how is it that you have to use the same lame example over and over?
Technocracy Technate design is not connected to this thread.
Understand ?
Why must you get in a money, religion, rap is wonderful, pissing contest and then relate that to something unrelated- to try and make points?
If you were actually interested in the subject of what Technocracy is -what it is doing-and what upcoming plans are concerned about fine.
You come off as anti-intellectual with comments like the last one.
For you to act out on it out of ignorance is something else.
You do not understand the basics.
It makes your beloved bullshit look like what it is. Beloved bullshit.

"The Wire is Hip Hop."
The wire is reality my blushing friend. Plan and simple. Make no mistake that the life that this series is based on came way before Hip Hop. Although you would like for everyone to believe that anything you like that the white man has flipped to earn a buck on our backs is due to Hip Hop. The reality is that the writers and producers of this show are no different than the producers of your ganster rap, Harry Potter and your government. They have brilliantly desensitised knowing that the fundalmental stimulants of homo saphiens has not changed that dramatically. I could only imagine that you find pleasure with actors portraying the realities of rapping and pillaging. While you cry for the service to come home from Iraq you praise the realities of the streets on as Hip Hop milestones.
Hyprocisy = Hypocrisy (or being a hypocrite) is the act of pretending to oppose a belief or behaviour while holding the same beliefs or behaviours at the same time.
The constant contradictions you promote on this blog are not overlooked "mon cher ami"
