Young Boys. Black Men. Fathers. Sons. Guns.

My father and I spent the 4th teaching my sons to shoot. 12 gauge pump action. Taurus 9mm. Remington Bolt Action Rifle 700 Titanium 30-06, with the Nikon Prostaff scope. The works. It sounded like WW III. Needless to say our boys were ecstatic, nervous and extremely attentive. They seemed to sense the significance of the ritual transcended sport and self-defense.

"Daddy."
Yes son.
" What if the police hear all this shooting?"
What about it? It's our land. We can do what we want.

I want them to understand early on what it means to be free.

As we loaded the truck with weapons and ammo, one of my aunts rolled her eyes and mumbled something about black boys, guns and violence.

You know me. I told her to kiss my ass.

"Black man aint 'pose to ha no gunnnn!"

As the rest of the world arms itself to the teeth, I think it is irresponsible for a black man not to be able to defend himself and his family. Neoliberal bullshit nonviolent "stop the violence" conformity be damned.

I agree.

Remember New Orleans.

We are on a countdown to chaos in this country.
We may make the transition to 'good' society, and the chaos, once it starts may not last to long.

However, be prepared.

Um ... interesting way to put it.

i grew up around men that didn't play around with their guns.

my dad's dad had two rifles and a pistol. before he died, everyday in my grandparent's living room sat one of those rifles (unloaded) in one particular corner. although i only saw them come out during that annual country folk ritual of shooting off your guns at the strike of midnight on new year's day, believe me, knowing my granddad he wouldn't be afraid to use them for other means when provoked. and somewhere along the line, we kids developed a ('healthy') reverence (or maybe fear) of the guns. we knew they were around, knew where the bullets were, but wouldn't think of touching them.

my dad had a handgun when i was growing up but i'm not sure if he still has it.

my father gave me my first revolver when I was nine. My first bolt action 22 caliber rifle, too. I had o tlearn how take the weapons apart, clean them, put them back together, shoot them (of course), and how to reload ammo.

He got my mom into it too. Nobody ever even thought about breaking into our house.

Denmark Vesey said...

Very interesting Esther. I'm curious. Where did you grow up?

Denmark Vesey said...

Mike Fisher,

9? Damn.

Your pops wasn't playing was he? You grew up in NYC right? Where did you get a chance to fire it?

What are the rules in GA? Can you carry?

Michael Fisher said...

That was when we were stationed in Germany. Every base has a Rod and Gun Club.

He got my grandma to shoot, too.

I knew how to take apart and put together a nine millimeter and a .45 by the time I was ten.

Yep, pop doesn't play.

I didn't keep anything at home 'cause I had a crazy ass wife. Served me well.

In Georgia you can get a license real easy. Plus if you keep your weapon out of immediate reach (like the glove compartment, you can have it in your car no problem

Michael Fisher said...

DV. Is that you in that pic? If so, I know you from somewhere. Can't place it right now.

People look around and say, "It's not so bad", and they may be right, at this moment. One week before Katrina, New Orleans was alright, to. Things can, and will, change in an instant.

With guns, we are 'citizens'.
Without them, we are 'subjects'

I'm friends with a wise old man and every time I see him he tells me, "Keep cash in your pocket, gas in your car, and bullets in your gun. You're going to need all three."

In my town it is a gross misdemeanor to get caught with a loaded handgun. That means a 250 dollar fine, if your record is clean.
When this system fails, and it is going to, then groups may have to buddy up in urban settings for a while.
admittedly that sounds pretty awful, but you have to consider that the 'government' is not really and ally that can be trusted.

I am armed to the teeth, and keep plenty of food around in case holding up somewhere is the only choice.

This generation will see the utter collapse of the system.

Anonymous said...

When the system collapses, you will see what we term... this society, go up in a puff of smoke.
This could happen in the next 48 hours, and within 20 days the death toll would be astronomical.

if there is indeed a meltdown in systems in this country, it's gonna affect the entire planet, catastrophe on a global scale. although it might sound 'nice' to bring this country to its knees, i'd hope (and pray) that we don't come to that anytime soon, at least for the sake of our neighbors on the planet.

man this thread is starting to make me believe i need to start building a bunker...underneath my apartment. LOL

LOL. That's funny Esther.

It's a strange time.

Hopefully, this too shall pass.

Buckle up, the crash test approaches.

Organized crime runs the U.S.

Thug society of special interest groups.

The people may take on these groups, in the guise of the military at some point.

The military is unhappy right now, being used as a mercenary force for Globalism.

Globalism destroys our resource base, and leaves us nothing to show for it, except a bunch of brainwashed consumers, who have been turned into pleasure seeking 'machines', that sublimate their desires by buying things, and repress their very angry emotions by exchanging them for religious Voodoo.
The odd mixture of dysfunction will be boiling over soon.
Then things get very interesting.
The very thin veneer of civilization could be quickly peeled away from Americans by two simple things.
Lack of gasoline, and the thought that the 'feed bag' might be unstrapped from their mouths.

Denmark Vesey said...

Astute assessment Skip.

However, your position appears unnecessarily nihilistic.

You need an endgame.

Anonymous said...

skip while i indeed appreciate your intelligent assessment of the tenuous position of this country (and much of it rings true for me), you strike me as someone who doesn't have children or actually doesn't think about them much. because if you did, you wouldn't want them to meet the fate that you predict. you'd have hope, which i suppose by definition nihilistic thinkers lack.

J.C. said...

Well, I am probably the most optimistic person either of you have talked with today.

I endorse a complete restructure of society, and you know the type of society I mean.

It would be Technocracy.

That alternative will give us more freedom and more responsibility than most people can consider presently.

The present system ends in disaster. There is no way around it.
Never kid a kidder.
We are in deep shit.
There is an alternative though.
A secular humanitarian system.

Denmark Vesey said...

Good reply Skip. A realistic survey of our current societal predicament is not necessarily a cry to abandon ship.

Sister Esther, however, is correct in her assessment. Your proposed solution is actually part of the problem.

'Secular humanism' is the de facto religion of the day and has been for some time in this country.

The same people aborting 100,000 children per day, making prayer in school illegal, removing religious symbols from public places are the same people waging war around the world and behind a smokescreen of Christianity vs. Islam. It's a trick. A Satanic Bait N Switch.

Secular Humanism fails because it assumes morality and truth are man-made and relative, rather than Divine and absolute, ultimately, it is the cause of our cultural and moral demise.

By the way. You got Young Lion holding that pistol wrong. He shouldn't be locking his elbows and holding his arms straight like that.

His stance is wrong, too. Don't have him lean back like that. Also, it looks like his feet are planted next to each other. That's a no no.

Denmark Vesey said...

You right Mike.

I told him that. Boy hard headed.

He said "But Daddy. I'm hittin' the target."

(Actually he was way off. Claims my cluster was his.)

He's got time. I'll let him bust off a few clips now, and play Earl Woods as he grows.

You got any boys?

Michael Fisher said...

Naw. Just a girl. Though, like I said earlier, growing up around me she might as well be a boy. Needs more women around her.

J.C. said...

"Secular Humanism fails because it assumes morality and truth are man-made and relative, rather than Divine and absolute, ultimately, it is the cause of our cultural and moral demise."

That statement puts you firmly in the camp of the religious crazies.

You have been duped Denmark.

Religion is bullshit.

It is made up stuff that is supposed to motivate people to work, and not screw around.

The Political system made it up because they wanted to control people. It`s that simple.
I can prove that.

A good society would be run by science.

Religion is always based on bigotry.
Mine is 'right' yours is 'wrong'.
Good and Evil etc.

Look around man, and see how many people are getting killed everyday for religion. Think about it.

Denmark Vesey said...

Skip,

LOL. You still don’t get it. Again. Listen very carefully …

1) Secularism Is A Religion.

2) Western culture is Luciferian. Freemasonry is the real religion of the modern world. Our "culture” is predicated on replacing God with man, hence we have the trendy "humanism," the religion that makes some men God.

2) From Hiroshima to Abu Ghraib from the Trans-Atlantic slave trade to the 40 million killed during WWII, from Vietnam to R’Wanda the instigators and profiteers of war were not truly God loving people but secular Satanic charlatans posing as representatives of God.

Come now Skip. Is George “Skull & Crossbones” Bush more secular or Christlike?

Does Richard Perle strike you more as a deeply religious follower of Hillel or as a secular atheist?

The "separation of church and state" is a stratagem to enshrine Lucifer as the god of the modern world. Masonic secularism's goal is to destroy genuine religions like Christianity and Islam.

Reason divorced from an absolute morality (God) can be used to justify anything, including war and tyranny. The goal of the NWO is to divert humanity from God's Plan and enslave us to a vicious Satanic elite.

Class dismissed.

J.C. said...

Wow man you really are nuts ~!!

You are really clouding the issue here with brainwash bullshit.

I hate to tell you this, but someone has to. There is no guy with a long flowing beard like you think.
Secularism is a religion ?
Wrong.
Secular just means, not aligned with any bullshit religion, and all religion is bullshit.

You think Christianity or Islim is real ?
You are under the influence.
Someone got to ya and brainwashed you.

Those people you mention Perle etc, I just refer to jokingly as 'Devil Worshipers'.
Reality is they are just plain ignorant people.

The conspiracy stuff is not real.
It is part of the divide and conquer mode to trick people with nonsense.
Those idiots were brainwashed by their parents.

Denmark Vesey said...

Skip,

Your projected image of God is juvenile. What you understand about religion is about as unsophisticated as the typical American's understanding of Iraq.

But I like you. So I'm going to walk you through it - 1 more time:

For each element in the family of faiths, secularism has its counterpart:

1) a strict ethical code, albeit focusing on health and social issues ("Thou shalt not smoke," "Thou shalt not use the 'N' Word," "Thou shalt not criticize Israel" etc.);

2)the use of shame when individuals disregard ethical rules (e.g. fat people or 'Isiah Washingtoning someone for calling a homosexual a 'Faggot');

3) a related promise of "Eternal Life" through medical advances and technology; (Human growth hormone, cloning, Botox, Stem Cell Research, Space Travel ...)

4) a Creation Story (Darwinian evolution, Big Bang); and so forth.

Ostensibly, all that is missing is a deity. However, upon closer examination, one sees secularists worship God like figures just as vigorously as any Catholic.

LOL. Yes Skip. Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Humanism, Jehova's Witness, even "Technocracism" are all fuckin' religions.

Hate to bust your bubble. But somebody's got to do it.

J.C. said...

Ok, well... were even.
Ha ha.
We can both agree perhaps for different reasons, that trouble lies ahead, and it deals in the issues we are at least discussing.

chosen said...

Vesey's on point; however the issue that you both miss is that human beings have religion. some religions are not as organized, hierarchical (sp) or dogmatic as others, but religion nonetheless.

Ummm ... interesting Crystal.

I wish you would elaborate on that a little bit for me. What do you mean by "human beings have religion"?

Are you suggesting that belief in a higher universal power is innate and part of the human experience?

J.C. said...

"Are you suggesting that belief in a higher universal power is innate and part of the human experience?"

Belief in this 'higher power' is a frame up.

Gullible humans can be controlled and made to feel guilty, and coerced into working for the 'man'.
Religion is the tool used by the Politicians/Rulers/Kings/Power- brokers.

Denmark Vesey said...

Skip,

"Gullible humans can be controlled and made to feel guilty, and coerced into working for the 'man'.

Come on Skip,

Stop pretending like you don't get it.

The charade of 'No Religion' ... is also a tool used to control human beings.

You are confusing the misuse of religion with the genuine worship of God.

A wolf, in sheep's clothing, is still a wolf. A devil pretending to represent God, is still the devil.

Secular warmongering atheists, calling themselves Christians, are still secular warmongering atheists. You are blaming 'religion' for things you should blame on your "secular humanists".

Who would Jesus bomb?

Skip, you would have an easier time convincing me the sun doesn't exist than convincing me God doesn't exist.

God is readily observable. If you haven't experienced him, you need to meet my daughter.
