CANTON, Ohio (AP) - A massive search ended in sadness Saturday when authorities announced they found a body believed to be a pregnant woman who vanished from her home a week earlier. A police officer believed to be the father of the unborn child was arrested on two counts of murder. Jessie Davis, 26, who was due to deliver a baby girl on July 3, was reported missing after her mother found Davis' 2-year-old son home alone, bedroom furniture toppled and bleach spilled on the floor.
The boy gave investigators their first clues. ``Mommy was crying. Mommy broke the table. Mommy's in rug,'' the boy said.
Thousands of volunteers had searched for Davis over several days, while investigators continued to question Bobby Cutts Jr., 30, who is the father of Davis' son but is married to another woman.
Investigators were mum on many details of their work until they announced Cutts was taken into custody Saturday and was to be arraigned on charges of murder in the deaths of Davis and her unborn child.
How will the media spin the racial implications of this murder?

Wow...that is deep...I heard about this, but I didn't know it was an interracial couple AND that he was married...
You already know how this lynching is gonna go...
(rightfully so IF HE DID IT (which is another question) ...how do you kill a pregnant woman and mother of your child?)
One of the leading causes of death for pregnant woman is murder (usually committed by the person who impregnated her). A thin line between love and hate...i guess.
He's a dumb ass too. I feel sorry for his "accomplice" the most. I already know the deal. He likely professed his love for the accomplice all while sleeping with the dead check and his wife. Now the accomplice is caught up in a murder case behind some raggidy ass dude that was using her to save his ass!
And as far as the racial implications go -- those are clear too. Although she certainly did not deserve to die, I'm sure she will be painted as the angelic, matronly mother/woman when in reality she had two babies by a married man.
I know that sounds callous given the tragedy, but hey, I said it anyway.
You are so right Robyn. Any time a White chick disappears, gets killed or stubs her toe, we get subjected to Dateline NBC's "investigative" report on her angelic, noble, Mother Theresa life that was struck down by some brute personification of evil.
These news producers have a script to which they religiously return.
I keep thinking about the boy, who, it would appear, saw his mother murdered...by his dad. Now both parents are gone, and this black boy is going to be raised by his white grandma...what is she going to tell him? How is that going to come across at the dinner table...just in every facet of their lives? It's really tragic...all around.
I'm not going to speak badly of this woman. Robyn is right - this dude is the typical triflin' brotha who got a sista caught up in some b.s.
I don't see the media bringing up race. It's not relevant - yet.
