ARMY BUYS 1 BILLION BULLETS A YEAR - FROM A SINGLE COMPANY. PROFITS UP 44%

Here's a new measure of the intensity of the fighting by the U.S. military.

Alliant Techsystems Inc., the Edina-based munitions maker (and division of Honeywell) that is the U.S. Army's sole supplier of bullets, said Thursday it can't keep up with demand from the Army, which is rising to its highest level since the Vietnam War.

Alliant made 1 billion rounds of small-caliber ammunition last year for the Army and will make 1.2 billion rounds this year. But the Army intends to set its annual requirement significantly higher, possibly as high as 2 billion rounds a year, and plans to look for a second supplier, Alliant Chief Executive Officer Daniel Murphy said.

1 Billion, damn!!! So basically the U.S. could take out 1/6 of the world's population based upon just one years's supply. "Damn it feels good to be a gangsta"=CEO of Alliant.

Thats right man, they are top dog gangsters ~!~
An obvious scam going on.

The Army ordered 1.2 billion last year and are asking for a 2 billion order this year.

That's more bullets than we fired in WWII.

You are right Damien. That's a lot of human life lost.

Those that say there is a Satanic agenda pushing this war may be on to something.

Skip,

You are right. The scam is obvious.

So obvious it demands the question why? Why are Americans going along with the robbery of their national treasury and the future of this nation wholesale?

Have we under mass hypnosis?

It's not mass hypnosis, it weapons of mass distraction, not destruction. Last week the entire nation's media was captivated on the serious issue of whether Paris Hilton would go back to jail, for a month!!! This failure of the MSM occurs during a war in which over 3,500 U.S. soldiers have died and untold numbers of civilians have died.

Great point D.

However, has the MSM failed ... or has it succeeded beyond it's wildest expectations?

Maybe the goal really is to hi-jack this country, loot the national treasury and entangle us in perpetual war with the Muslim world.

Who does that benefit?

'Who does that benefit'
It benefits the scam artist gangs that run the U.S.
They are 'happy', because they are rolling in dough.
They are laughing and giggling all the way to the bank.
They own the 'media' and they have dumbed down the proceedings so much that most Americans are not in contact with facts.
The average American has been described as... ignorant.

The corporate media haven't failed. The people have.

It is the people's responsibility to guard against tyranny, but they are sedated at home on Ridalin, drinking Red Bull, watching The Sopranos, eating "low fat" ice cream, ignoring their children who are building bombs, torturing puppies and molesting puppies in the garage.

II: "molesting puppies in the garage"

Damn, where is that happening, that's sick.

I guess you all are right when I think about it. The MSM hasn't failed. It's faithfully serving out its purpose for its corporate master.

Change the template and the system changes.
The people do not know shit any more.
The people would not know any truths if they bit them in the ass.
The only meaningful change is to change the format.
Then the players change.
The current system rewards bad behavior on every level.
I matters not as long as 'money' is being made.
What the hell is Bush still doing there as leader ?
Answer ;
Making money for special interest groups of belief and globalism interests.
When the reward is money, anything goes.
Look at the stock market under Bush. It has gone ape shit up.
When the war expands shortly into Iran, it will surge again.
The ONLY thing that drives our economy presently is the war.
A Price System economy must grow, or it will collapse.
The handwriting is on the wall.

Damien,
Last week the entire nation's media was captivated on the serious issue of whether Paris Hilton would go back to jail,

Great point... This society has created the pefect storm. Citizens work more than ever to pay for all the shit they don't need. In the mean time they don't have the time to read a book, newspaper let alone PBS to keep up with the bullshit going on around them. Secondly, only 11% of Americans ever travel outside the states. So what do they care about what's happening in the "Middle East" out of site out of mind. Third, school systems are doing just what the elite hope for. A poorly educated citizen is the one you can control the best. I sat and watched some of the debates. And for the life of me these guys and gals are saying the same shit. And avoiding answering the same questions like twenty years ago. It's the biggest waste of time and money. I really think there is no hipe for this country. History shows us that every powerful society will eventually fall. We are on the brink... But will we take down the world with us.
