BEYONCE Pre Jay-Z v Post Jay Z

What it looks like to save a woman from herself ...

Who's going to say it first?

Since I aint scared, I will. Beyonce has been a star for years. But since she got with a certain brotha she's been lauched into another stratosphere. Arguably the "Baddest Bitch On The Planet". (Top 5 according to Jasai).

The right man is necessary for a woman to tap into her full potential.

There's nothing like a good relationship to settle someone down.

Dina,

I'm not sure, relationship is the right word in this context.
Initially it may come off as semantics, but bear with me.

"Relationship" suggests an interaction between two separate beings, an apartness. While in reality, when nature is allowed to take it's course, the process of a man and a woman coming together is more a merger of two beings. Two becoming one. No longer a relationship between them, but one unit now in a relationship with the rest of the world.

The concept of "a" relationship is inherently temporary. What goes on between a man and a woman on the deepest level is inherently permanent. This can't be "a" relationship. It must be "the" relationship.

After all a woman doesn't really love a man, if not being with him, is an option.

Inspiring a woman to feel this way is part of the process of a man saving a woman from herself.

i'm mulling this explanation/defination.

without a doubt, something is definately going on with her AND him.

According to your definition, then, isn't it a mutual salvation in the union?

DV -

While your definition of relationship has a certain appeal to it, I can only respond with the wise words of Khalil Gibran -

Love one another, but make not a bond of love
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not
from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain
your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near
together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.
