Moms With More Education Less Likely to Vaccinate Their Kids
Women who never graduated high school are more likely to have their children vaccinated than women who graduated college.
To come to this conclusion, researchers examined data on almost 12,000 families from the National Immunization Survey, a nationwide survey of childhood vaccinations that includes information about ethnicity and socioeconomic status.
Children of less-educated mothers were 16 percent more likely to have up-to-date vaccinations.
The study's senior author posited that the reason could be the controversy regarding the safety of vaccinations, and a higher awareness of this among the educated.

Just had a wonderful conversation with Dr. Latanya Hines at www.girlfriendsmedical.com , about this very subject and specifically about the HPV vaccination.
She was very passionate that although there are some risks, so many women (especially in the SW United states) with little access to healthcare, are needlessly suffering from diseases realted to not being vaccinated and that the risks could never outwiegh the benefit.
Have you ever looked into this vaccination specifically? Maybe the notion of swallowing every vaccine blindly is troublesome but there may be others that can save lives and be beneficail to longterm good health that need to be considered.

As you can probably guess, I am very skeptical of the 'business' of immunization and of industrialized medicine all together.
I'm particularly aware of the scam Merk is trying to pull by making their particular HPV virus mandatory for girls 12 and older.
Our oldest child had about half of the recommended vaccinations. Our middle son had maybe 10% of them, and our youngest none.
She is the healthiest child in our family.
What has been your experience?
both of my children have had the full gamut of immunizations (how do you get them in school otherwise??)
I have not found that they have been affected in any negative way that I can attribute directly to the immunzations as they are rarely sick. If I had another baby I would reconsider whether or not to give them all of the immunizations becuase like you, I don't believe them all to be necessary. At 19 and 25 there was very little that I knew about the choices to give vs. not.
