Ha, I see i'm not the only one who picked up this subtext to that commercial.
My first impression was "WTF?! Are they serious?"
I was thinking that if they'd made his eyes brown too, then he would've been a guy made out of chocolate. The fact that they stressed white eyes and white teeth, though, tells me that no doubt about it they wanted this to be a black man. (and a creapy one at that.) The kitschy '70s era music just makes it official.

It saying to me that white girls crave chocolate men, but use the candy part as subtext.
