That's Spidy's ultimate arch-enemy, the vicious black poisonous beast, Venom. (Aside from the fact that the child is in Blackface including the required red lips)
this was funny! i got what DV was saying right away. you all forget it's DV we're dealing with here. . . hilarious!
and yes, Big J, this is an inter-racial couple i don't mind at all. Way to go Seal! lol lol black women were sleeping on him and Heidi scooped him up. Ooops! Did i say that?
Come on now. No way in hell, you or Jasai or Sasha or Erika or Momma Harris or Aunt Connie or any black woman I ever met is going to walk around with her baby looking like a monkey - unnecessarily.
That boy would just have to be a football player this year.
You are assuming blackface means the same thing to everybody. I am a black woman, and black face does not have any negative connotation to me personally. Though I am aware of it's dubious past.
Monkey???
I guess beauty or should I say "monkey" is in the eye of the beholder!
uuhh maybe I'm a bit slow today, but I don't get it.
ReplyDeletelol.. Heidi KLum is fine. who got somethin tp say?
ReplyDeletemissing the point completely... but sensing that there is something hilarious here, just outside of my peripheral vision.
ReplyDeleteGod gives a black baby a set of wings
ReplyDeleteThe child looks up at God with tears in his eyes, and says, "Thank you Lord. Does this make me an angel?"
God looked down at the child with infinite grace and mirth and said
"Naw nigga, you a bat."
lol... still don't get it! DV are suggesting that there is something wrong with this child?
ReplyDeleteThat's Spidy's ultimate arch-enemy, the vicious black poisonous beast, Venom. (Aside from the fact that the child is in Blackface including the required red lips)
ReplyDeleteVenom
Quite perceptive, DV.
Oh please, let's not read deep devious meaning into this!
ReplyDeletethis was funny! i got what DV was saying right away. you all forget it's DV we're dealing with here. . . hilarious!

Whew ...
ReplyDeleteThank you Kalena. I knew I could count on you.
You right. Seal. Heidi. Do your thing.
But Heidi needs a black female friend to sign off on future outfits.
Kalena, you should email her.
oh. i don't why i read 'the inside man' and thought 'thestateof'. my bad. but the heidi comment was directed at the inside man, after all.
ReplyDeletehaha DV you're too funny. i'll give her a pass on this one. she's usually pretty fierce.
Sorry, I'm still lost.
ReplyDeleteSo what exactly went wrong? The kid in black face or the fact that Heidi "got" one of the Black men we still wanted?
the kid in black face. . . i added the extra commentary just for kicks
ReplyDeleteHey Robyn,
ReplyDeleteCome on now. No way in hell, you or Jasai or Sasha or Erika or Momma Harris or Aunt Connie or any black woman I ever met is going to walk around with her baby looking like a monkey - unnecessarily.
That boy would just have to be a football player this year.
Black face?
Come on People!
You are assuming blackface means the same thing to everybody.
ReplyDeleteI am a black woman, and black face does not have any negative connotation to me personally. Though I am aware of it's dubious past.
Monkey???
I guess beauty or should I say "monkey" is in the eye of the beholder!
Ah ... I see what you are saying Accra.
ReplyDeleteBut I don't mean avoid blackface because it was once used in this country by racists to mock black people.
I mean avoid 'blackface' only beause it is not a good look.
Racist past means nothing to me.
To tell you the truth, DV, all I saw was a costume on a little black boy. Black face didnt even cross my mind until someone else said it.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I tivo'd Seal and Heidi on Oprah and am waitching it now, I'm not even mad at them.
ReplyDeleteI agree with rjesq, my mind didn't go there either until someone else brought it up. LOL
