Some say a comet will fall from the sky. Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves. Followed by fault lines that cannot sit still. Followed by millions of dumbfounded dip shits.
Some say the end is near. Some say we'll see Armageddon soon. I certainly hope we will cuz I sure could use a vacation from this
The problem with putting labels on people is that generally they do not fit so well.
Interesting to see what happens in such a falsely oriented culture as ours, when the labels come off, and people are confronted with the very empty reality of what we are doing.
You really have seized on a label that has very little descriptive value. A secular humanist is someone who values humans, and is not brain washed with tangling up reality with brainwashing principles. That would be my definition anyway.
If it's a swamp there must be life and maybe even dinosaurs.
Observation - I can't see a thing.
Conclusion: Dinosaurs.
Yes, perhaps Stanley Jaki has a point that in order to even work out science once has to be working from the assumption that there is a rational, personal entity who at least laid out the rules.
However, how in the WORLD do you jump from that to, "Each and every word of the Bible is absolutely true. Oh, and, by the way, if the King James version was good enough for my Lord and Savior, it's good enough for me." ??????
How ? A carefully constructed bridge made out of abstract ideas and presented as Gospel. Hence the selling of blue sky, generally in an effort to gain green cash.

Unlike, of course, "The Holy Technocracy" and "Godless Secularism" which is all built upon the concrete concepts of endless words.
"Energy Credits". LOL.
Skip, you need some "Spiritual Credits". Thorsten Veblen and the other Technocracy High Priests have simply sold you a religion that does nothing for the soul.

"I can't see a THING on Venus."
ReplyDeleteWell, that must be because it's cloudy.
If it's cloudy, it must be wet.

One Zen master when asked to explain the wonder of reality, pointed just beyond him and said, "Look there, at the cypress tree."

Ergo that vast emptiness you feel on the inside.
Thorstein Veblen had nothing to do with Technocracy, and intelligence is not measured by the ability to press a wiki button.
