He looks just like a man from my village. Does he think it is better to be from the Asiatic people than from the African?? As I said he looks like thee palmwine seller in my village!Lol
Thank you Anon 1:08 pm! I always thought these wanna-be Moors were just as bad as regular old American Negroes who claimed to have some Indian blood in them...just grabbing at something - anything - that makes them different...special...than your run of the mill American Negroes.

Yes Anonymous.
I bet you he does look much like the gentleman who sells wine from your village.
He also happens to look people who were called Seminole "Indians". He also looks like the statues carved by people we call the 'Olmecs' of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Which is why challenges to the dogmatic meme which describes all black people as "African" ... has merit.
What did the people of the land we now call "Africa" call themselves 500 years ago?
Why would they name themselves after a European named Africanus?
Sista Lola, the problem with the premise that blacks who claimed 'Indian' blood were simply trying to remove themselves from pure African blood requires that one buys into the assumption that pure African blood is somehow 'less-than'.
Black people in America come in a wide variety of hues, shapes and colors.
It's not all a simple mixture of African slaves and European rapists.
There's a whole lot of spices and flavors up in there.
I'm asking you about the etymological root of the word Asia. You said it comes from somewhere else, I'd like to know since you said I'm wrong.
And in regrds to that video, when was the whole world called Asia?
Yes certain parts of what is called the Middle East and North Africa today were called Africa at different points in Biblical history, but when was the whole world called Africa?
And about the etymological roots of Africa, they go way back to a time waaay, waaay before Leo Africanus.
May God grant that brother the paradise - he was the truth!
ReplyDeleteI thought every one originated from Africa. No?

...Why would Moors name themselves Asians after a European philospher, Herotodus came up with the name Asia?
There was no concept of Asia, no concept of Africa before it existed in the Western imagination.
