Everything else is talk.

I'm surprised this didn't get any comments. I agree, if there were a million sista's worth marrying I think brothers would.

  4. Hmmm... Blackman sounds kinda suspect... (not that there's anything wrong with it).

  5. But there are a million black couples. Way more than that, actually. There have been for a while. So....?

  6. Not bitter at all because I have a sista worth marrying...but the masses (plantation) don't! At least the plantation is made to think that.

  7. There are so few comments because this has been posted at least two other times in the last year. Though the sentiment is nice the statement doesn't hold true for a number of reasons

  8. I hope he posts it twice as many times next year as he does this year.

It's one of the most romantic things I've ever heard.

    He believes in Black Love.

  9. People are funny when it comes to commenting:/ but lack of comment doesn’t mean the posts don’t make an impact
I actually copied this & posted it on my FB.I love this post and the picture that goes with it!

im not going to attack the "worthy" comment. Reality is the FACT that survival in today’s environment is sometimes "anti-marriage". The major point is that black men and women blaming one another is not only lame, but futile. Blaming only succeeds at being offensive and deepening the wedge. instead of attacking the black woman's "worth" (as if that can even be assigned by you) it would have been more productive to discuss characteristics that may be a turn off for a man so that maybe a black woman could have read ur comment and been enlightened instead of just insulted.

  11. Brother Blackman!

  15. I'm sure there are plenty of sistas worthy of marriage material, but then we all know there are PLENTY that aren't. Same goes for brothers...it is what it is...we could go back and forth all season..but that doesn't solve anything. All I could say is make the right choice when it comes to MARRIAGE or Don't Do it!

  16. I hear ya man.

    Some sistas aint worth marrying.

    Some brothas aint worth marrying.

    Cool.

We can look at it like that.

But I see it a little different.

"NOT" marrying a sista ... aint worth it.

Failure to marry a sista has as many negative consequences as marrying a sista deemed 'unworthy'.

At the end of the day, it's on you anyway.

There is no such thing as "the right" woman.

You marry a woman and make her right.

She marries a brotha and makes him right.

I must co-sign. I've been telling folks this for a minute, but people don't want to hear it.

  20. If I learned anything from this post, its how to get a response from a Black woman..lol

    ReplyDelete
  21. ....so you imply that the ONLY way for a Black woman to respond is to make an attempt to insult her? please stop buying into that bullshit. surely the "sista" you claim to have at your side responds to more than this?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Sistas,

Please relax, why must everything be taken as an insult? I know its Wednesday, the weekend is here, the NBA Draft is tomorrow surprise your man by asking him who they think the #1 pick will be, maybe that could start some good dialog and hopefully spark something more intimate for you guys to relax. :)

  23. Hey TGN, the rediscovery is coming along well. I got some flax seed and wheat germ to mix in my yogurt because I read that gives you healthier hair and skin? Do you have any other suggestions?

    ReplyDelete
  24. blackman, stop it. u are really trying too hard. although a romantic evening can lead to good sex that is so not the topic at hand. but it is all good...let's drop it and u and your boo can spoon while watching the draft...peace.

    pink,
use olive oil on your hair and be sure to sleep with satin pillow case and scarf to assist in preventing breakage. glad to hear all is well on your end.
