Had to Tee Off this morning, it's my birthday.
Wife made me a "Raw, organic fruit tart with strawberries, mango, blueberry and an almond crust", kids gave me a 10 minute group hug / beat up daddy session. Best birthday of my life.

  4. Thanks Classical. 'ppreciate it man.

    Aging secret?

Every morning I fill the sink up with ice and cold water. I soak as much of my head that will fit in the sink for 3 minutes.

    Works wonders.

    You gotta try it.

  12. Sista Accra!

    Where you been!?

    Thank you very much.

I've got a few things on my "Sista Accra" list":

What you think about what's happening in Kenya? Is media coverage in Ghana any different than media coverage in the US? Is the average brotha on the streets of Accra hip to Barack Obama?

You supposed to be our "Africa Correspondent".

    What's up in the motherland?

  13. Golf is recreation for people that don`t know how to recreate.
Golf destroys large areas of the environment. It is a mono culture that destroys any diversity of plants or animals.
People that play golf mostly do not know that tons and tons of pesticide and fertilizer is needed to make the phony green look devoid of insects.

How to spoil a good walk .. golf.
Lots of fake business deals happen on the golf course. But that is part of what golf is all about.
    Class.

  14. Ahhh ... Thanks Brother Mike. 'ppreciate it man. One Oldtimer to another.

A cat I play golf with was messing with me. He's 38, talking about "You gettin' ol Pops!".

Now he's standing there struggling with male pattern baldness and a pot belly that should have "Michelob" tattood where Tupac had "Thuglife".

I had to tell him "man you old, I'm vintage!" There's a difference.

LOL. White ball on the ground?

    Nigga you know I'm posin'.

    LOL
Another one of the many contradictions Skip. Take care of your body but screw your environment.

  20. Yeah Casper.

Without the environment we have nothing.

That is where our true bounty is.

  23. Hi DV,

Good to be back on here.

Spent the Christmas and New Year in the UK.

Unfortunately, all the news we get hear in the local papers about Kenya is from foreign sources ( namely Western media)

Most of the people I speak to here about the Kenya election troubles are not really that surprised by events.
The tribal tensions caused by the divde and conquer tactics of the colonizers, as well as the poverty and the penchant of our greedy old politicians to hold on to power at any cost.........
I guess this is what happens when the ordinary seemingly powerless man in the street gets tired of the status quo.

    With regards to the Barrack/Clinton
race, the ordinary folk in Ghana are probably clueless. However the small middle/upper class ( if such a thing exists here) a lot of whom are "returnees" ( those that returned home after living many years in the US, UK etc.) are following the race quite closely, and are overwhelmingly in favour of Barrack. ( According to my little informal survey)

PS. you share the same birthday with my sister who live in Atlanta.
