I don't know about the chic part but I'm seeing lil thug, butch HS girls in baggy pants, cornrows, jordans and baseball caps with lil feminine black girls far more frequently. Its not just the teenage white girls or token black girls in predominantly white schools.
So what do you think Insurgent? Are you suggesting girls are no more bisexual today than they were 5, 10 or 100 years ago?
Or are you suggesting girls (like rap fans) are simply parroting behavior they see rewarded in the pop media and are no more "Bisexual" than a teenager with saggy pants is a "Gangster"?
They are no more "bisexual" today than they were 100 years ago.
If young women aren't taking their cues from religion, parents, etc., they are taking them from Cosmo and 17 and movies and tv.
And, if those who control the media plant ideas in their heads about what fads are popular, i.e. what's "cool" -- whether it be the latest bracelet to wear, T-shirt to buy or sexual experiment -- they are likely to do the same in the name of being cool.
Monkey see monkey do.
That's how polls are used to get people to go along with what's in fashion, with who to vote for, etc.
"Well everyone else is doing it".
That's how the media got women to think it was sophisticated to smoke cigarettes back in the 50's. That's how the diamond industry convinced women that there is a direct correlation between the size of a diamond and how much a man loves you. And this is how the secularists are now destroying family by convincing women that they don't need men and can find as much "fun" with other women.
A woman isn't any more of a smoker, a diamond lover or bisexual than she was 100 years ago.
I see. :) I wonder who those 2 friends could possibly be.. And you haven't met the OTHERS of course... What did you do with those interesting photos on flickr you kept stumbling over?

ReplyDeletePD, you wish. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is the new rage among young women.
ReplyDeleteYowza! The shit can be kinky . . .
Robyn, don't tell me it's never crossed your mind ;-)
ReplyDeleteGlobal warming, genocide in Darfur, hip hop glorifies violence, chicks are bisexual, girl on girl is the new fad...
ReplyDeleteAnd the sheeple keep repeating these mantras as if they are gospel.

DV, I'd venture the latter is likely most accurate. Men are the impetus. Young women are doing what they think men want them to do.
