I spent 17 years in the US, never owned a gun! Still don't own one....... there is no nation that is unarmed, and being less armed is usually not reason enough to get attacked.
Are we returning to the wild wild West ? Where disputes are settled with a gun..... God forbid!
DV, you think guns have enhanced the lives of the Palestinians? I certainly don't think they have presented a deterrent to the Israelis. Guns won't free the Palestinians.
I don't think guns should be in the hands of anyone, and that include Isralis and Palestinians.
Had our African ancestors been as well armed as the European invaders, maybe you and I would be neighbors in Ghana, instead of chatting over internet lines.
I wouldn't change history, but I am not going to ignore it either.
